A Domain Redirect and SERPs Question...

I bought a domain to redirect to a ClickBank product recently after finding out that my squidoo lens wasnt indexed in Google's search engine

Is it possible for a domain that redirects to a ClickBank product to get listed on Google? If anybody has experience with this, I would greatly appreciate your insight.

Yes, redirect domains can get picked up and indexed by Google. Use the "masking" feature to add your own description and keywords (this helps).

    Oh okay, thank you

    I have another quesiton:

Anyone know if a domain that redirects to an affiliate would be treated like any other website by Google when it comes to placement on their pages? Google wouldn't knock it because its just a redirect, right?

I'll explain my last post...I had a domain that pointed to a forex product that was just recently deindexed from google for some reason and I dont know if its the google dance or a ban. I tried site:example.com and it didnt return any results so I assume its a ban. The question is why and what can I do to best prevent that in the future.

I set up a few backlinks for it and it was number one for its keyword (which isnt saying much because it didnt rank for the keyword I wanted it to) for a good while before it disappeared.

Ultimately I want to see if I can have a domain rank high for a keyword that I want and have it redirect to my affiliate product and have it stay ranked as long as possible. I just don't know google's take on domain redirecting.

So before I grab another domain and do what I need to with it, I just want to make sure my efforts arent wasted. To me it seems logical to get sales this way, but I can't help but think that its too good to be true. Thanks PotPie Queen for letting me know that it's possible, I just need someone who has the info to let me know that this is one affiliate marketing method is doable.
