Question on rotating ads please

Hi does anyone have any experience with rotating ads and can you let me know your preferred provider?

I have a page that attracts a lot of visitors and was wondering if there is a solution out there that is recommended - thanks

If you're using a CMS platform (Joomla, Wordpress, etc...) I'm betting you can find a free plugin to do what you need. If it's HTML, my best advice is to do a Google search for some code you can add to your site...I'm sure there's stuff out there.

You can use Ad server solution for publishers, advertisers & networks | OpenX for that. Don't get intimidated and think it is too complicated, it's really not. It can be used for free, and it's an industrial strength solution which Microsoft actually uses for their ad platform.

Thanks for your replies - very helpful.

OPENX looks interesting Ill certainly check it out.

To be more specific - this is for a video replay of a popular training course we offer. I thought to maximize revenue Id place about 4 rotating ads near the video.

I am expecting decent traffic hence the thread title.

You reckon Ad Networks would mind (or know) that I am using 4 at the same time?

Thanks again - really helpful advice

And you think that by distracting attention from that course, with ads for someone else's products, that you will somehow make more money from the traffic?

If the traffic is already targeted (i.e. via direct mailings, or search engine results), I think you will just be giving the visitor more choices.

You will most likely lose sales of your own product, and unless the ad revenue is greater than the revenue from those lost sales, it sounds like a losing proposition to me.
