Point me in the right direction - Mobile Site App and Wordpress site

Still busy setting up my new project.

A critical part of this project is that the website content should look good on ipads, iphones and android machines. That is where most of the traffic will come from. I think it might be best as an app - knowing the way I use my iphone.

Traffic to the standard website will still be there but not as much as the mobile version.

Being highly technically challenged can anyone suggest a product or theme or whatever it is that I need for this Mobile website/App.

Thank you

KenJ

Can't see why you would make it an app, seems very inconvenient compared to sending them to your website. Can't really see how you are going to get any traffic to your website that way, because you can't rank an app in Google and paid traffic to apps convert poorly.

Use something like this instead http://www.obox-design.com/wpmobile.cfm

The reason I was thinking of creating an app is simply because that's how I use my own iphone. I find surfing on my handheld very tedious.
Example:- So for Sky TV. I do not use safari. I have the app and click the icon.

Iphones/ipods/ipads - you can give instruction for people to quickly add their own app for your site. Someone is playing with my ipod right now or I'd give you the quick instruction on how to do it. I have one that I can press on my screen and it brings me here to the WF. It literally takes just second or so to do (for the end user). This will save you some money as well - unless you want to spend and test to see how many would actually use your app.

          Hi Jill

Well get them to give it you back right now
I am really looking at a potentially high traffic app/website. I just need to know where to go. I'm sure the right application for me exists. I just do not know its name. This is the problem when I do not know the jargonin a particular segment ofthe market.

P.S.Just popping over to my iphone to view your sig.

Hey Ken, Clickbump makes a couple new WP themes that work well on mobile. I've been using their engine for a while now and just loaded up their "Canvas" theme the other day on a new site and it sizes up nicely on mobile devices.

        Ain't that the truth.

Yeah, if you have Clickbump already the new Canvas theme is a freebie. Check it out. I like it.
