Hey guys
i,m after a bit of advice here,

Started a website on my trade here in the uk (i,m a decorator by trade) in early 2011,
Well i got bored extremely quickly and after 3-4 posts, let it idle/sleep for want of a better word - lol - LAZY Probs

Anyway its been getting 500-700 visits a month, and i was,nt really bothered,
Anyway, i go on today am BAM - Over 3500 visits in June 2012 - WTF

Now i aint done any work and the site looks crap to me, (am not that good at fancy stuff etc)

Any advice on a) why this has happened cos i done NUTHING, and b) what would you do if these numbers can be increased,
It just got me thinking about not being such a lazy git that all

What are you using for tracking visitors? Hopefully not Awstats, their stats are very inflated and pretty much useless in my opinion.

That's because of Google's new algorithm. Your site has no backlink and Google are rewarding websites that are not over optimized.

Keep adding content to your site regularly and make some moola! :p

You are getting the effect of Penguin...

The Google search result after the Penguin is totally unpredictable in terms of quality and I think you might just get lucky here.

Since you are getting that much traffic, keep the bounce rate low by redesigning your site and putting some more effort into it. Otherwise, when your bounce rate gets high, you might not see this kind of traffic again.
