Nature Dissasters and IM

I am not from US, but I know that in the last week there is a lot going on there - wildfire, storms... Do nature disasters like these hurt your online business? If yes - what do you do? Shut everything down and wait?

I live in Hurricane Alley. Natural disasters are not anything new to me.

The key is to have your business streamlined, so that it works when you are not working. This rings true for everybody, not just us disaster prone Americans. Anybody can get sick or have an accident that prevents them from working for an extended period of time. It's nice to know your business keeps going, even when you take an unexpected break.

What I meant is - does that hurt your convertin rate?

P.S. it sounds so egoistic and I'm sorry for that, but I have to know...

  • Hi dimager2003, I talk you from Italy.
In May and June we were strongly hit by earthquakes, so as Brian Rose said, the winning key is being able to cash in on every moment, also if we cannot work for a few or long times. Memberships and products launched could help you in getting more cash also in downtimes.

And remember to keep all your backups in two separate places. This is the best trick I could suggest.

    See you soon,
    Alessandro Zamboni

I would think not. Most natural disasters are highly localized, so the percentage of website visitors from any one area is not typically going to be large enough to have a noticeable impact.
