Anyone Use an Affiliate Manager?

I don't think I've seen this discussed: affiliate managers - as in someone who recruits affiliates, handles affiliate issues, makes suggestions for what needs to be done for an affiliate program.

Anyone use someone like this?

There are some affiliate management companies as an affiliate I see on CJ, PJN, etc., but I don't see a lot of outreach or personal interaction with affiliates, unless its complaining about a marketing method. I was thinking more about recruitment.

    anik signal has an affiliate manager training / certification program. They do affiliate placement... as in finding their graduates jobs. I have heard good things about the program.

    I think it is mostly the same material as in the highend course he sold several years back at affiliatemanagerclassroom.com
