YouTube Video Affiliate Marketing

It seems many WSOs and Clickbank products are aimed at promoting affiliate products via YouTube. Do you think this is the best affiliate route to go? Or is there something that's better out there?

Youtube is just one traffic source, I wouldn't say it is the best or better than the rest, maybe it's what worked for the product developers who released those courses. Every traffic source still has it's learning curve non the less and if you want it to work for you, you'll have to take the time to master it.

The best affiliate route is to figure out where your market hangs out, show up, and build a relationship with them. My main business is in an especially "high touch" niche, so I spend a lot of time on forums, Facebook, and Twitter connecting with people until they know the "real me." Your mileage may vary.

    Hope this helps.

Video marketing with Youtube is extremely effective if done right. Don't rely on it for all your traffic though, try get some from other sources like social media and forum marketing.

Not much to add as the guys here have said it... but.... YT is a great way to get in front of potential buyers and if done right will also show up in the SERP's but as with other comments this is only 1 area to look at with traffic.

Personally what I did when starting out was learn how to do one thing and kind of master it (if you really can master these things) Then carry on doing it while learning something else like a blog with SEO driving it in the search....

Youtube is a search engine itself. People search youtube directly, avoiding even searching google. Its more common than people think. Youtube videos can easily rank on the SERPS within minutes, literally. Many people think thats the only wait to get traffic with a video is google rankings, but people need to think outside the box.

I can personally tell you that if you combined multiple forms of traffic to your video, especially the right areas with targeted traffic, you'll make quite a bit with ease.

If you can get a video to go viral, it's a great way. Provided you place the keyword in your title, description and tags. Then your link needs to be the first thin in the description box.

You tube is very good but it would be even better for you to use it in conjunction with twitter and facebook and link everything together. You will get better results that way.

In my experience it is no better than other methods. A lot of people seem to hype up video marketing, saying that it's way better than any other approach, but in my experience, over a wide range of different products and topics, yes it's worth doing, but no more effective than other methods of promotion.

There are no "magic formulas" in IM, so if someone tells you they have one, they are probably trying to get something out of you (such as money!). Don't believe the hype, test methods for yourself, that's the only way you're really going to know what works.
