What Converts Better for You?

INTERNET MARKETING

A blog post with a call-to-action in the end, or a free downloadable ebook with a call-to-action in the end?

I'm starting to promote affiliate offers with how-to guides and articles, but I'm debating whether to offer them as blog posts, or free ebooks.

The posts may get more traffic, but the ebook will net you the targeted email signup.

What are your thoughts?

I've found that a free downloadable ebook works better than a blog post as far as CTAs go. People love the word "free" and will take that extra step if they get something for free. But blog posts are always good and seem to please the search engines. The more good content the better.

Why not do both, a free ebook to capture leads and post some relevant articles linking to your squeeze page. Just don't post the exact same information to your blog as you include in the ebook. You win both ways then.

You can try both of them.

Take your time, do one first, test it, see how it works and if you are happy wiht the results implement it in your business.

Same thing with the other one, test it for a few weeks and see what results give you.
In this business you have to try diffrent alternatives, this is a fluid business where you get the chance to experiment with different things.
