Completely Overwhelmed! Where do I start? MLSP? EmpowerNetwork? et al

Hi Folks,
I've been working to generate an attraction marketing effort for over a year now. As I see it, I have a chicken or egg problem. I've written a few blog posts, but don't where to send them. On the other hand, I've purchased and/or subscribed to nearly a dozen online marketing programs, but haven't (on a P/T basis) had enough time to get proficient in one long enough to see any results! Here's what I've been attached to:

MLSP
TribePro
EmpowerNetwork
IMToolSuite (though I'm dropping that in favor of MLSP)
IBOToolSuite
BetterNetworker
BetterWebBuilder
TrafficSwarm (JUST got an account there)
... and of course ...
Facebook (I have a fan page)
Twitter (?? have followers! don't know what to do with them!)
LinkedIn (hosts my non-mlm professional profile, though my mlm is mentioned)
Google+ (JUST set up a profile this week!)

AM I CRAZY!!! AM I HOPELESS!!!! AM I WASTING MY TIME!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!

(hehheh!) Thank you!

Seriously, you need to sit down and decide who your target market is. Is your target market baby boomers? Frustrated networkers like yourself? Or something else entirely?

After you know who your target market is, start writing blog posts specifically to your target market like you are talking to a friend.

Make a post a day, develop a relationship with your readers, and understand it will take you anywhere from 6 months to a year before you really start seeing something significant. It's a slow process, but can pay off if you can relate to a specific target market.

THANK you, Telzilla! As much for your thoughtful reply, as for the FACT that you replied! I was feeling really lonely out here! That said, I just read a post from another very successful member of this community who advised that I leave this online stuff alone until I actually make some money the "old fashioned way:" 1) asking if they'd like to make some money; 2) sending them to my invitation program; 3) signing them up; 4) training to take steps 1-3. I think he's right, just as I think you're right. Guess I'll just stay in Suckville long enough to make enough to replace the essential part of my F/T income, so I can do THIS full time - in order to take the advice that BOTH of you offerred. Ugghhh.

You're welcome. There are a lot of things you can learn about online marketing on this forum. Of course, certain things will only come to you through trial and error, but you can do it, if you're willing to put the work in.

As far as waiting to make money online until you've made money "the old fashioned way". Bah humbug. If you can find a happy middle ground, that would actually be best for the type of business you're involved with.

Build yourself a group locally and build more with leads you capture from your online marketing efforts. Brand yourself as a leader online by blogging, writing articles and syndicating them, and by volunteering your expertise by writing blog posts and answering questions and commenting on other networkers blogs.

Use an autoresponder, either Aweber or Getresponse (whichever you feel more comfortable with), and offer a freebie to your blog's visitors in exchange for their email address. It doesn't have to be something huge, a 7 to 10 page report or something similar. Provide value to your new subscriber, build a relationship with them, and you'll soon have thousands of people just like them on your mailing list.

These subscribers and the people who visit your blog consistently can end up making you a fortune if you treat them right.

Woah, buddy, you're all over the place.

    Stop all that crap.

Start with a target market. Is there a pain/problem that needs to be solved?

Can you create a product to solve this need? If not, can you find someone else's product that you can promote and make a nice commission off of?

Once the first 2 steps are done, how are you going promote it? Through a blog/website? Online videos? Articles? Etc?

Lastly, how are you going to drive traffic? How are you going to get check your offer out?

Rinse and repeat this process, test, improve your copy, improve your ads, improve your conversions...etc.

That's basically what internet marketing or any online business is about.
