I have known about twitter for a while now but recently there seems to have been a surge in people talking about it.

The mainstream media seems to have picked up on the buzz.

I was listening to NPR this morning and 2 different shows mentioned it, "Weekend Edition" and "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" both talked about twitter.

Have you noticed a surge, or am I the only one?

It only makes sense that it would become more mainstream. And honestly, I'm glad. I pretty much won't ever have to log in to facebook anymore on a daily basis. Twitter gives me the updates I need and nothing more. That coupled with the search feature makes Twitter my tool of choice for the millenium.

I love the personal feel it can give businesses and collaborative blogs, like SmashingMagazine and FreelanceSwitch, as well.

    Yea Nick,

John Stewart just mentioned Twitter on The Daily Show, as well as Stephen Colbert I believe...

Twitter is getting some big time publicity.
