how to display opt in page in wordpress blog

Hey

I have my first website and i used host gator to host it and i used the fantastico plug in to install wordpress. Im trying to display an optin page seperately. For ex. user clicks button takes them to typical opt in page outside of blog format.

I have very very limited experience with hosting, html and the folders associated with them so please feel free to dumb down the answer and lead me step by step as to what to do.

I know i have to upload the file to somewhere in my folders but there are so many i dont know which one.

Also i know i have to link it but i dont have a clue as to what the url for linking will be.

any help woudl be apprechiated

    Well the first thing I am thinking is do you have an Aweber account, because that will let you be able to make a opt in form a lot easier. Aweber will give you the html code that you need to plug it into your your blog page where ever you want it to go.
