RESOLVED: How can I get the shortest URL to a thread on WF?

Like most forums, it seems like there are a ton of different URLs that resolve to a particular thread.

While they may help SEO, I don't particularly like the ultra long URLs that contain the title to the thread in the URL if I'm mentioning it in a email.

Sometimes I've seen nice tiny urls (not using an url shortening service, just a nice short warriorforum.com URL. How can I generate one of those for a particular thread, especially for a WSO thread?

Thanks!

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I think I worked it out, and just in case it would be helpful for anyone else, here it is.

I noticed that a link to a post in the testing forum was of the format:
    Code:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/showthread.php?t=622323
The link to this thread is of the format:
    Code:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-marketing-discussion-forum/629393-resolved-how-can-i-get-shortest-url-thread-wf.html
Aha! Maybe that 6 digit number is the key. I inserted the number from this thread into the first link:
    Code:
    http://www.warriorforum.com/showthread.php?t=629393
And it worked, and we all lived happily every after.

(Your mileage may vary - I don't know that this will work for every thread, but I would expect that it will.)

      I think you're overly suspicious.

Since that was not my intention, I have changed the above example so that it uses this thread as the example, not a WSO.

However, in the future, you might consider expressing such things in a PM before attempting a public flogging.
