WSO Pro affiliate question

I am going to get together with my coach and put another lesson together. I am having a little trouble deciding what would be best to learn, that would be a good share with Warriors. But that isn't the point of this thread, but if you have any suggestions, send me a PM.

What I want to know is, if I give the product and do a OTO of a second product that would go with the first give away product, would affiliates be interested in promoting that? Obviously there would be no commission on the first product at $0.00, so the up sell would have to be enticing in order for affiliates to make any money.

I am just torn because I want to share this learning with Warriors, but it costs me so much money, I can't give it away like I want to. So I thought maybe if I give the first one away, the second may cover my expense.

I would love to hear any feedback you might have on this idea of mine. Because I am new to all this stuff. But I have an awesome teacher and I want to share his wisdom with other warriors.

I think people are willing to do that, but you have to be clear on what your intentions are and there should be some solid evidence of a good download rate on the front end. Trying to get affiliates right away may be more difficult at first versus once you can show how many people have picked up a copy.

Thanks Logan, I will give it my best. My current WSO got over 20 affiliates (I quit counting at that point) but my conversion rate is pretty low, so no one promoted it. I see Mike took a couple of commissions, so I am not sure how that happened. I didn't see any influx of traffic and I sure didn't make WSO of the day. I did get some very embarrassing reviews on it. I know it was an excellent product, but just not the put this to work and make tens of thousands by next month type stuff that is so prevalent in the WSO forum.

But I better quit talking abut my WSO as I got in trouble for that yesterday and got my sig deleted. But I am not talking about my sig here. Just my last WSO.

Rather than have a free front end offer and a paid back end offer, you would be better off having a cheap front end offer and paid back end offer.

People give more attention and consideration to things they have paid money for. Most people who download free stuff will never do anything with it. Besides, if you really think the information you are giving away is worth something then why wouldn't you charge for it? The free-line has been moved so much over the last couple of years that free now has other connotations such as inferior and cheap.

You will also lose a lot of affiliates by having the free offer. A lot of WSO affiliates these days find offers they want to promote by scouring the WSO forum. If they come across your WSO and see a 'FREE' button they won't give it any consideration because they will not think there is any money to be made from it.

In regards to affiliate sales from Mike, these would have come from the WSO alerts system.
WSO Alerts - Get instant alerts on the latest WSOs you want to see | WarriorPlus

On that site people can signup to be alerted when WSO's get released by certain vendors or with certain keywords in them. Let's say you created an alert for the word 'mobile'. This means whenever a WSO with that tag is released, you will be sent an email alerting you about that WSO. The links in those alert emails are affiliate links for Mike.

Quite a clever little system he has running.

WillR is correct. If you give it away from free people will take it and never use it and ignore correspondence you send them or opt out of your list right away. If they even remember who you are when they see your e-mail they'll know it just that guy they got that free thing that they haven't looked at yet so they'll pay no attention. It's best to make buyers qualify themselves for your list. Marketing to qualified buyers will save you and your list a big headache in the long run.

Thanks Will and Randohm, that makes a lot of sense. Do you think $1.97 is enough or do I need to to $4.97 to get out of the free persona?

I am glad I asked this question as I have got very good feedback on it. I have a totally different mind set on this now than I did before I asked the question.

Not only that, but I should be able to pull in some money from the first product and hopefully pay for my advertising expenses.
