Has anyone created an app for their blog?
It would certainly increase your readership due to your app icon being on peoples phones (which they will most likely see every day).
Then have a mobile optimized site with your opt-in form at the top (if they have yet to sign up (Not sure how you will be able to monitor it though)), and recent posts underneath.
