White Space at top of WP header

Hi, all

I have just updated my WP site with a new header, but I have now noticed about 30 pixels or so of white space above it. I am using Suffusion theme and have checked for help online but no luck. Any changes I make to padding or margins cause the header to be cut off, but the white space remains the same.

The site is http://www.dreambodysixpack.com/ as in my signature below.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance for your efforts.

    It sounds like there is a mismatch between the actual header height and the space allotted for it in your theme.

    I am not familiar with that theme, but there should be a way to change the height or you could change the height of the header.

    Is the new header the same height as the old one?

      I have assigned a height of 120px in the theme options and the banner is 120px. The padding is a seperate figure (15 or 20 from memory) but changing this just cuts off the banner, the white space remains the same which why I'm a bit stuck.

      Good catch, Ralph. If the previous header worked out fine, OP should only make sure that the dimensions of the new header are the same as with the previous header.

      Thanks, but I've tried before and it's not great for getting a reply.

      I've managed to solve the issue myself, though I have no idea of the cause. By setting the header margin to -30px everything looks good. Not ideal but it seems to be working.
