I know there are alot of threads here on where you can get media buys. I know its about buying ad space for your banner to be on targeted websites. Is it just taking your affiliate banner ad code and target websites that are relevant? Not really clear on how media buying works..I know there are alot of companies out there that you can buy X amout of impressions for X amout.. just wondering if Im on the right track.. if not please explain..thanks..

The term "media buy" generally pertains to companies that make a lot of ad buys, but it could mean exactly what you stated. What is it that you are confused about?

depending on your budget. better stick with cpc if you dont have a big budget. Budget buys can be anything from cpc, cpl, but usually the big boys buy on cpm with AOD platforms.

Media buys are banner ads and can be anything from ppc on the content networks, to cost per impressions. PPC means the people have to 'click' your ad for you to incur a cost, cost per impression means that your ad shows for a certain amount of 'views' of the page it's on. I recommend a WSO (if it's still available) by PPC Coach called "Media Buying Guide," or join his coaching program at Media Buys Coach :: The Best Affiliate Marketing Course & Coaching Site. He offers a $1.00 trial for 14 days for the coaching program and it's a forum set up.

I just set up an account at buy sell ads. Would I be better off direct linking to clickbank products or CPA offers? This is my first time with paid traffic as I would like to start small.. Also what are some media buy sites that are "flat rate" based? Like "X" amount of impressions for X amout.. (30 days) ect... Im not looking at Ad networks yet..

I wouldn't direct link - I always recommend my clients to use their own URL and redirect to an offer - this way they can better track visits coming in from paid traffic and search engines etc

The amount they charge is mostly for monthly. Not based on Click that you get. they will tell you that their Alexa is X and you have to pay X amount for keeping your add visible for 1 month
    that's it.
