question for niche marketing experts

I have a question for all of the niche marketing experts here. I have done some research for a niche that I am planning an info product for. There are an awful lot of searches.

Neither clickbank nor paydotcom.com have any products. Is this a dud or could it be my gold mine?

I have 20 years experience in the field related to this niche so creating a quality product would not be an issue.

I am desparate to get myself going in light of hearing about Barry's passing as someone very dear to me has health issues of her own. the problem is she lives across the country from me and I have been feeling an urgency to be able to quit my job and move.

Should I pursue this niche or look for another?

There are plenty of other affiliate networks other than CB or PDC...

Try doing a google search on "Your Niche Affiliate Program"... I'm sure you will find plenty of independant affiliate programs that you can join. Not to mention joining all the other CPA affiliate networks that most likely have affiliate programs for your niche.

you could found yourself a goldmine here, especially if you think people are wlling to pay for the product. Although In some niches there are alot of searches, but only expect the info to be free and not pay for it.

      Hey Dwshoup.

Go to Amazon and check to see if there are any books
or anything there on your niche. If there are then check
to see if there are any reviews, if there are look for at
least 5 reviews on the book that way you will atleast
know it's selling and there are some people passionate
      about that niche.

The next step is to go half way down the sales page for
the book and see "Amazons Sales Rank" this tells you how
well it's selling out of all the products on Amazon. Anything
      under 50,000 is good.

I say go ahead and follow your heart. Stay with the niche and go for it.

But don't bother joining an affiliate program. If you can create your own product and keep 100% of the money for yourself, I would do that.

    Good luck...

Amitywill has given some good advice with regard to first determining whether this is the sort of product people will pay money for.

I've researched a lot of the niches on Clickbank and have discovered that in many areas there is an obvious demand and few or even no products available for that niche.

If you're satisfied that it's the sort of product that people will pay money for - especially if they fit the description of "desperate buyers" - then do some keyword research to identify the strength of that demand on the internet. In particular, you want to identify keywords that have a good demand and relatively little competition so that you can build your website to sell your book and, as well, build a sales funnel for traffic by targeting those keywords.

If you have enough keywords available and a keen audience start writing.

Also think of the title of your new book. Have a look at the strongest keywords - most demand - for that niche and see whether you can find a title and register a domain that contains one or more strong keywords.

Once you've completed the website and the book you'll be able to use the keywords identified as having low competition and target them for sales.

For your website, think in terms of structuring it in such a way that you are actually selling to people on your mailing list. Design your site in such a way that the initial contact focuses on getting their email address. This applies to SEO promotion as well as PPC. That way you'll have more opportunities to make the sale, as well as build goodwill and provide additional products.

I thank you all for your input. I haven't checked amazon yet, but there are some adwords ads that are on the search page.

The ads come from businesses that provide a service. My product will be on how to perform many of the tasks without having to pay for the service.

I just thought that with the economy the way it is that would be a good angle for promotion, you know, save money by doing it yourself, here is how to do it.

Hi, my advice is to try. Without trying, you will never know if it works for you. After all, your investment in the project will not be that great and since you are familiar with the topic, it will be much easier for you to do it. Who knows, if it is good, many Warriors here may promote the product for you if it comes with an affiliate program.

When I was thinking about whether I should come up with my product, it took me a while to finally decide to do it. But I am glad that I took the first step of faith.
