I use a formula to find my niche or targeted twitter audience to get follower or to follow them.

Here I have shared the formula that may help you.

"I need" OR "We need" OR " needs" OR "I want" OR "We want" OR " wants" "KEYWORD" near:"New York, NY" within:100mi

"I need" OR "We need" OR " needs" OR "I want" OR "We want" OR " wants" " KEYWORD " near:"New York, NY" within:100mi

Just replace KEYWORD

And search in twitter
This formula is really helping me to get targeted follower. so you can try and let me know it's working for you.

    we have used much better footprints to find targeted followers in twitter during last couple of months. Yes its working. The best part is we can easily get targeted audiance using these footprints. Nice sharing. For just business issue I cant share more footprints. Otherwise yes this is the right way to get targeted followers. Eventually I should say this is really time consuming job indeed.
