Do JV giveaways work for list building?

Hi, I was wondering if JV giveaways work to build a list?

I am looking at some of the JV signup pages for these giveaways and they look really spammy, but Ive read from a ton of list building courses and articles that thats a good strategy.

Im not sure if they've used them first hand or what?

Im afraid that these giveaways will be filled with tire-kickers. Are my suspicions correct?

Thanks!

Have no idea, and I heard that subscribers from JV giveaway always look for free things and never buy.

Like most strategies of this nature, it all depends on the execution and what kind of relationship you have with your list (or the means of creating that bond).

In general, they can be fantastic for list building; again, it boils down to excecution.

Hmmm I started to build a list last year with JV Giveaway events.

I didn't find the list particularly responsive as compared to the buyers list that I built later

I've participated in quite a few of them and you can get a lot of subscribers quickly, but monetizing them can be tricky.

I've used them in the past, good for building your list but you need a really good follow-up sequence to monetize it. The niche Giveaways offer a better option than than the IM ones.

The only way to find out if any incentive or bonus works is to do a split test. that is the true answer

JV is in my opinion a poor source for generating revenue, but it can be good for reaching a mass audience and raising awareness of your product

Hmm I think you will need to try it out and see what happens. I signed up with one JVgiveaways I think and I am getting a lot of emails. As long as you use a different email address you can solve that problem. I haven't used it yet for building my own list - I need to figure it out abit more first!

It would probably be right down the bottom of my most favorite ways of building a list. I'd rather spend the time creating a cheap SLO (self liquidating offer) to build my list. Those people are going to be a lot more responsive than most of the ones you get through a JV giveaway type setup.

      I would second that.

In fact, if you have a decent sized list, you'd probably want to go with something like an ad swap on Ad swaps, sell solo and buy solo mailings at Safe-Swaps instead of joining a giveaway.

A free WSO with an opt-in is what I've seen working for many people, and you can even do an OTO on it if it's something relevant to your freebie.
