How to promote if you don't have the product (ClickBank)

I've found a product on Clickbank that I think would be ideal to promote on one of my niche sites. The problem is it's a massive course with documents, charts, business plans, and loads of video tutorials and it is very it is very expensive (out of my budget anyway). So, having no in-depth knowledge of what the course contains, I'm having difficulty coming up with an effective way of promoting it to readers.

How do you do an honest promotion of an info product you haven't used yourself without lying or rehashing the hype from sales pages etc?

Contact the vendor and tell him or her exactly what you just put in your post. Many will give you the product. Some will give you enough of the product so you can be comfortable with promoting it.

Really? I did think about that but thought my request would be dismissed out of hand. I suppose there's no harm in asking though!

    Thanks

YES ASK. Travel guy is right.

I had this SAME exact question yesterday so I emailed my vendor and he actually gave me the software I wanted to promote for FREE.

So right now I'm recording videos with it as I write this.

    Good luck! - Red

yes there is no harm in asking. The truth is that most of the big clickbank vendor will probably not even reply, if you haven't sold any of their products yet. However, if it is a small vendor then they might be willing.

The way I sometimes approach it for a new niche is the promote the product as if I am a reporter and I am just reporting and writing a review from what the sales page says and from what other people online are saying. So I will sometimes put in things like "it claims to do this, or it claims to do that" with the way I market, this is often enough to get a few sales under my belt.

Once I have a few sales, or even as few as just 1 sale, then I approach the vendor and give him my clickbank ID so he can track the sale and then ask for a copy to help me promote it better.

This technique has never failed. I have got some great products for free this way and I have been able to sale really well.
