Good day, I am considering Domain Flipping as a new project and I just wanted to ask if anyone here has tried it, and if you have what were your results? Thanks, |

Hi Oscar ! I haven't been involved with domain flipping alone but I'm sure if you could acquire some at low prices it could prove to be profitable. I prefer full site flipping because even though it involves more work I believe it to be more profitable. |

I've made a few hundred dollars from domain flipping. However it is tedious work and not really a scaleable model. It's not the kind of income you can count on every week. |

My biggest domain flip so far is for $300. It doesn't have any stats. I was managing this internet marketing blog with PR3 (then PR2) and does not has much backlinks though. Then, something happened to my hosting server and my whole blog is gone (because backing up was unpopular then and I was lazy). Frustrated, I simply sold my domain name on SitePoint with a BIN of $300. I got it within 2 weeks. ![]() And the domain actually loses its PR 2 to PR 0 because I was writing some paid posts -- which happened one week before my blog was down. |

I've been domaining for over 3 years now and the trick is watching the trends such as Google trends and Sedo Auction sales. I wish I owned Toys.com which recently sold for $5M |

You can always watch for market trends and buy cheap domains based on that. For example before the new iPhone came out I bought domains on the cheap and resold them later for a decent profit.

I've made a little bit of money flipping domains on eBay. I can usually get $5 to $10 more than I paid for the domain....sometimes more. I've made more money flipping websites, though. It's a little more work than just flipping a domain, but it's worth it for the return you can get.

Yep. Made some money flipping on eBay. Made about $120 from a lot of hours. Not really worth it, IMO.

HI, I've done very well at a local level. Globally, why would you sell something that you build, intimately know and is a cash cow? I would never exchange such an enterprise for stock in another company that might become worthless. Then again, unless something has six or seven figure potential, I don't bother with it. Sam |

I've been flipping domains for 3 years now, and overall I'm in the black by around $1,800, more owed to the sale of one domain name than an entire portfolio!. Here's what I can say about it, it's very tedious work, and most of the best names are already taken, you can't rely on this as a way to make money daily, but there are opportunities too!. |

Hi There I have done several domain name flips and have done quite well. the best way to get started is to set aside some money, like 20/30 maybe, then find a service that deals with expired domain names and check them daily. do searches by keywords, then buy them. They don't have to be the latest and greatest hottest topic, the market gets flooded with those. try for niche domains. get one, then develop a nice little minisite , get hold of a PLR product for the topic, then offer it for sale. I have sold many names without website content as well. One domain I held onto for 6 yrs, paid about 42 in registration fees, but then sold it for 6k. Ive bought domain names one day and sold them the next for 10-20x what I got them for. It's about persistence and knowing where to look. It's about timing and patience. Do it in your spare time, it's totally worth it. |

I just sold my first site last week for $350 at a buy it no price. I should have priced it higher, the bidding was going hot and it went for the BIN price since the bids have gone that close to it. It might have sold for more Anyway, I am getting ready to post another site up. I am just letting it get indexed and I am good to go.

I recently sold one of my domains for $36,000. Wouldn't call it a flip because I had no intentions on flipping the site when I created it.
