YOUTUBE is getting ridiculous!!

Today my pr1 channel got removed because some people wanted to outrank me!.. Without even warning i got banned.. Its just stupid how youtube easily removes any video.

Also while researching some keywords i found couple of products where on google 2nd page there were just videos.. same happened for the 3rd page too...

This is just dumb how everyone has jumped onto youtube after the updates..

happened to me too.. you can email them all you want but no replies...

I even know of some hacking tools which are specifically made to having people banned from Youtube.. and they do work..pretty nasty stuff.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6562547].message }}
  • Oh that's really awful! A person who got jealous of your video can simply report you and have it deleted or worst have your account banned.

I don't know if this can be resolved in the future or things will be getting worst day after day with Google and Youtube.

I guess that You Tube is a law unto its self - taking peoples sides with no chance of you appealing is crappy.

    It's a shame you don't know who's reported you (

Has it occurred to any of you that Google and You Tube
are actually in business to earn a profit? Do you think all
that time and money was invested to provide you with a free
    advertising platform?

None of you actually knows for a fact why any of the videos
was removed. My guess is if we looked at your videos then read
the TOS we'd find a clue.

That's a bit harsh, especially when you consider that Google doesn't own most of the videos which make YouTube what it is. Google uses our content - so why shouldn't we have a free advertising platform?

Google still pays for the bandwidth, and the cost can add up if you host a lot of video. If the quality of a video is not up to the par, why would they pay to host it? (Not suggesting that OP had the same issue) Plus give them some credit for attracting all these content creators. It can be lot more difficult than it looks to run a site like that.

No it's not. He's absolutely correct. Listen to yourselves. You sound ridiculous. Do people ever read what they write before they post it???

        Really?

YouTube banned you because someone else wanted to outrank you??? Stop already.

        Harsh? LOL

Welcome to the world of big boys and girls. Here's the best
solution for you... stop giving Google all that free high quality

My video was removed because it was too 'commercial'. But a search on similar videos show there are lot of much much much more commercial than my video which are still there.

Probably some one make a report on my video. Maybe he or she don't like my video.

        Ugh.....

So what? That doesn't mean that yours was not violating TOS. It just means they haven't been caught yet.

    Don't get mad, get even......

Seriously though, if google (and youtube) doesn't address this issue before long its going to be like the wild west, every man for himself.

Negative seo is only going to get worse IMO.

Yeah we've all heard the "google is a business" blah blah blah mantra, but when a company has a near total monopoly on a global market they should at least try to have a little concern for those that earn their livings online. Its not like marketers really have any alternative other than to bow down to google since they basically corner 90% of the market.

We've also heard all the 'Google owes me everything' claims...

The fact of the matter is, they don't care about small marketers like us - business is business, they're in it to make a profit...adapt or die is the motto.

Also, you don't need to bow down to Google, there are others ways of attracting highly targetted traffic.

Alternatives exist only if you search for them

There seems to be a big spike of Internet Marketing videos on YouTube as of late. People working there aren't stupid, they know what's going on (the wave of IMers hitting up YouTube) and ofcourse they're going to respond.

    Best of luck.

There are automated bots out there that do flag and dislike videos so it is possible that Ayush was a victom of negative seo.

It has nothing to do with negative SEO. Stop with the buzz words folks. Negative SEO has now been mentioned multiple times in this thread and it is 100% irrelevant.

It has everything to do with violating TOS.

People...If your video does not violate TOS, it doesn't matter if 500 people report it.

How do you know what the cause is? I never said negative seo was the cause only that it was possible. Since you probably never saw the video I dont think you are in a position to be the final judge of what really happened.

I DO know what the cause was - the video violated TOS. It's really that simple. YouTube doesn't pull down videos unless they violate TOS. You mentioned negative SEO again. What does SEO have to do with anything in this thread???

It seems to me that said banned channels and videos were mostly about IM than non-IM stuff for example, a chainsaw video available at Amazon.

Ayush Sharma, this happened to many good quality sites too after penguin update. My quality site went down, a site with vogus content outraced me. Really ridiculous.
Though I was able to regain my position within 2 weeks. But that 2 weeks was really horrible for me and I know how people feel when they outrank without any reason !!!

It's not just in Youtube. Other Google's product, Blogspot, will blatantly delete users without warning just because some jealous people report "abuse" of it to Google.

Wolf has it right. The ONLY reason you were banned was because of the violation of their TOS. Did you "mirror" the video and put it on other video sites such as DailyMotion?

This ban had nothing to do with being "too commercial". That's just a canned response. There's literally thousands of local business' putting up their own video "commercials" and they're not getting banned. Case in point, my offline clients.

I'm sorry, I have to laugh at the negative SEO claims. Do a little research on what that means before thinking that is the cause of all of your marketing misfortunes. You really look a little silly using that term for this.

Seems to me there would have to be something wrong with the video in the first place otherwise Google would have ignored the complaint.

Quite sure its not negative SEO. Also, reporting against competitors does not always work. There is a manual review failing which your account will be banned/terminated... and that only happens when you break the TOS.

FYI, anything marketing/selling in nature means its against YT TOS. Now all don't get banned simply because too many accounts are created and too many videos are uploaded each day. As long as your videos are personal then your account is safe. If you plan to sell weight loss pills, skin cream, etc. then yeah sooner or later you will get banned.

My videos were high quality content and not some fake powerpoint videos... which got removed whereas some powerpoint videos has taken its place in the search engine.

Also putting anything that monetize is not acceptable by tos but every marketer is doing it. We are not ray johnson to get famous on youtube. So how come from all the unwanted and low quality videos my high quality video got removed?
