Who would you recommend as the superstars of selling? Who really stands out when it comes to great lists and conversions?

      No hidden motives here.

I am trying to really build a long-term business, and I see partnering in a win/win fashion with key people as a part of that effort.

I have my first two products out, and am preparing my next launch, which I expect to be quite profitable.

I wasn't thinking there was a hidden motive

The reason I ask is to see if your going to learn from them or if your going to try to follow there foot steps.

The wrong thing to do is following someone else's success. You can learn from there success just don't make your business plan theirs.

I think there are 'superstar' affiliates that people know of around the Warrior Forum and in the IM world who are good at selling themselves as superstars.

Then there are 'superstar' affiliates that makes A LOT of money but don't publicly share what they do or who they are (I could even be one). It's these sorts of people who are the real superstars.

So if you want to get proper affiliates onboard then I would just promote your affiliate program and let the affiliates come to you instead of approaching them.

What would you suggest as the best way to promote my affiliate program? (We can't mention it in our WSO threads anymore...)

Build relationships with mailers who have lists in your niche.. Or get a JV Manager who already has those relationships and leverage them.

I agree totally - learn from everyone, but I'm not exactly the same as anyone else, so I have to proceed in the way that best works for me.

One thing that I encourage for everyone is testing and measuring. Try lots of experiments and ruthlessly follow the data. Data driven decisions will beat out guessing over the long term every time. You can be wild with your experiments, as long as you are as quick to prune as you are to try.

Do you have an affiliates page on your site? Maybe something obvious but just checking. On this affiliate page, you want to make it SUPER easy for affiliates to work.

Give them banners, text ads, pre written emails with somewhere for them to input their affiliate link, PPC keywords they can target, maybe even offer up a coupon for affiliates to make it easier to sell so a $10 off coupon.

Also offer bonuses, so if an affiliate gets 100 sales, you'll give them $250 or whatever would work with your pricing.

Once you have a page like this, I would either approach people who have lists in your niche OR get a JV Manager (as already mentioned) to help build those relationships for you.

I do have an affiliates page on my site, but I need to build it out with additional resources, like you've suggested. Right now it just lists products and how to get affiliate links from JVZoo.
