Best method to use when giving away freebies

Hey guys I just wanted your opinions on if I should first give out a free ebook and hope they buy my buyable one or is it best to throw it in with the buyable one as an added value, there are also other methods I'm not aware of. what would you guys do. I'm a newbee with the freebies thing

    Make a squeeze page and an opt-in forum with your free gift.

    Then you broadcast your buy able gift to your email list.

    That's what 90% of people do with a free gift.

    It really depends on how good your freebie is. If your freebie is nothing more than the usual run of the mill crappy eBook then maybe you should think about giving your "buyable" book away as the freebie to build that all important initial trust.

    Different marketers have different strategies and it's up to you to make the decisions in your own business. I will NEVER listen to what anyone says "works" at face value. My goal is to always test it out for myself.

      awesome thanks guys, honestly the ebook that I will sell I've put a lot of work into it, its quality content not a another usual free ebook with like 20 pages of randomness LOL I'm still writing it, its hard making good quality content and I'm putting a good amount of time and effort into it, however with what you guys have said I will do my best to make my freebies contain quality content, or what do you guys think about that approach? Also I'm constantly being stalked by the phrase "build your list" and I will focus on that even more now. whats the best to use in your opinions guys. aweber or getresponse?
