Is using Amazon images, review snippets or a redirect to Amazon in the description url against their TOS? I can't figure out why else they terminated my account.

Thanks

There are 2 Problems if want to promote Amazon Via Youtube:

    1. If you make Slideshow and use "COPYRIGHTED IMAGES" and if the owner of the images finds out, your account will be disable by Youtube.

    2. "MUSIC" Maybe this is the common Problem. You Must HAve Permission To Use The Music On Your Video From The Composer.

    SOLUTION:

    1. For Copyrighted Image, you can ADVANCED SEARCH On Google Image and Search For The Images With RE-USE License. SO You can Use it In Your SlideShow Video On Youtube.

    2. MUSIC, This is Very Easy. Don't Put Any Music On Your Video When You're Upload it to Youtube. After The Video Uploaded, You Can Edit The Video and Click "AUDIO SWAP". AUDIO SWAP Lets You Put Music On The List Which You Can Free to Use It in your Video, This Music is Provided By Youtube and You Dont Have To Worry About The License Anymore.

If Your Using Copyrighted Images on Your SlideShow, there's One Trick You Can do :

    1. One way to avoid copyright issues when doing something like this is to post in the description something like this.

"i do not own, nor claim ownership of any images used in this slide show. all credit for the images or photography go to their rightful owners."

Thanks for the responses guys. I got a email from YouTube for the video that got me terminated. I just remembered it was for a product from a company that I had trouble with previously years ago on ebay, and I assume it was them. The strange thing is I used the images that Amazon uses and was linking to THEIR Amazon page. But LOL getting an answer from YouTube on what TOS I violated. I can understand if I used the images to link to a competitors page, but like I said it's their Amazon page that I linked to.

      Thanks

Yes I purchased the audio from another Warrior, and yes it's their music, if not all 30 plus videos could have been flagged.

      Thanks

Sounds maybe like a competitor flagging your site through various accounts to get it removed.

You were almost certainly terminated because your account was too spammy.

      That's nonsense.

According to whom are "these kinds of accounts going to be terminated at some point?"

If youtube had a problem with "these kinds of accounts" it would be in their tos and all of my perfectly functioning channels would be gone.

NO! I always put the link (mostly affiliate links, but no Amazon) first in the description and so do most savvy video marketers.

With the link first a viewer can click on it as it shows without having to click on the "show more' button.

I've been doing this for at least three years. I've had channels nuked just like most every one else that really utilizes the power of youtube. It's just part of the game, you know going in that it can happen so you plan and prepare for it.

A channel can get nuked for many reasons, without explanation. That's in youtubes tos. I had an entire channel (60+ videos) nuked because I had a video advertising a flight simulation game. Apparently the powers that be don't like that.

I had another single video deleted because the product advertised was available in a similar free version from another website. The website owner and his friends gang flagged my video, left retarded comments and generally made a nuisance of themselves until youtube was forced to delete it because it "caused too much conflict in the youtube community."

If you are dealing with competitive or contravesial niches, expect it to happen.

YouTube does not like affiliate marketers that run spammy accounts.

What does a flight simulation game have to do with spammy accounts?

It wasn't nuked for spam, unless you think Homeland Security is in the spam business.

You obviously don't have a clue about youtube.

        That's a great point!

I just started video marketing and something simple like that could make a difference in conversions. Who knows who's going to click the "show more" tab and who isn't. Some folks might not even know what it's for.

a redirect to Amazon in the description url
Still on the above, just a few weeks back, i mailed amazon seeking to know if the use of their shorten URL http://amzn.to/***** can be used on YouTube. I never got a reply, i sent 2 more mails at almost 5days interval, it's 20days now and didn't get any reply from Amazon. That was the first time in years Amazon has not responded to my question in 12hrs. I immediately understood that was a risky affair.

DO NOT USE REDIRECT DESCRIPTION IT COULD GET YOU BAN

So far, YouTube has banned a lot of account both big and small for various reasons.

Another thing you must know also is adding amazon affiliate links to your page is only helping amazon to build links to their product pages. That is why they rank for virtually all product name.
