Getting a proper text link in Commission Junction

I just want to make sure I'm doing this right in my CJ account. If I want to get a text link for a product that I'm approved with, do I simply go to Text Link and then click the "Destination Page?"

land06.php?sid=48112&g=1&affid=CJ is the last part of the address after the www part (which I can't list because I haven't posted 15 times yet). I see the affid=CJ but it is the 48112 part that is my unique affiliate ID number?

Am I doing this right?

Thanks!

there should be a 'get html' button. It will generate the link, as well as include an invisible image for tracking. then you just copy/paste it.

When I go to the "Get HTML" screen I don't really see exactly what the URL is that I need to send my customers.

For example, if I write a review on a product and I want to link "Click here to visit their website" where would I find that exact URL to link to that? It seems like the "Destination Page" is correct but I'm not 100% sure.

      Sorry, I'm new!

you want the entire thing... cj's links are more complex then clickbanks since they also track impressions for you, not just clicks.

if you want to edit the anchor text, you should be able to identify it in the code and just replace it with what you want. it's easy to id since they show you an example of the link at the top. find that text in the code, and just replace it.
