Default How do I make an instructional presentation video???

Hey guys,

As part of the product that I am about to unleash to my email list, I would like to make a video teaching my market how to use a certain piece of software and make a presentation as well.

Something like this:
http://masscontrolsite.com/blog/?page_id=9

When Ryan Deiss, Frank Kern or anyone in the IM realm for that matter makes one of these videos how do they do it?

Do they use screen capturing video software and just record them running through a Powerpoint presentation and the software?

Your advice is appreciated!

~Sean

That presentation was created in Apple's Keynote (Industrial theme).

You can record the narration directly into Keynote and output the video.

Or you can record the presentation using screen capture software like Screenflow for the Mac or Camtasia for the PC.

Best,

Brian

Perfect Brian!

Thats exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks mate.

Are there any other methods that other WF members know or is this the standard?

The above is pretty standard. Another software that I've used with great results is BB FlashBack - Screen recorder software

There are a few other solution as well, and the video you proposed may have been recorded with powerpoint and camtasia.

You could also look for Adobe Captivate, Articulate Presenter, and Tanida Demo Builder whom are among the bests.

Creating this kind of videos in a professional manner takes some time and requires an quite good learning curve. You could also choose to outsource the creation of your videos. I've been doing this for quite a few years, if you're interested in such a service you can PM me for some work examples.

Best regards,

Andre Foisy

BB Flashback really rocks. Runs ultra fast and generated videos are really cool.

Camtasia is great for this sort of stuff however if you want a simple yet acceptable free solution have a look at slideshare.net and you can make it private so only your people will be able to see it.

Here are a couple of my Camtasia videos.

e-Commerce | The Internet Marketers Club
Marketing | The Internet Marketers Club

And here is a sample slideshare which I am sure you could do a lot better job.

They embed great in webpages or blogs.
