I bought a couple domains, both are Google PageRank 1 and one has something like 100 backlinks, the other has a bit less.

I know I could try to sell them on Flippa, but I don't know how much they're worth/where I should start the bidding/etc.

Does anyone know of a guide or person that could help me get in the right direction for selling domains?

I have sold numerous domains myself through flippa, and what i found there is, that for the domain to make really good money, it either has to be a standout domain in terms of age, quality, length of word etc. If it's just any old domain even with page rank it is unlikely to sell well and in fact you may make a loss overall, like on the fees etc.

Ok thanks for the info. Are there places other than flippa? I agree, if I only get a few bucks from them, I'd lose quite a bit more than I paid with fees and all

Yes there are like Sedo, Afternic, Godaddy auctions etc. Without knowing what your domain/s are i can't really comment any further on where you should try and sell if indeed it would be worthwhile for you to try to do so.

Joel, are sites like this (shatshow.com is where this came from, also looked at websitelooker.com) even remotely accurate for determining worth/value of a site? it says:

How much revenue per month is the sites generating?
How much traffic is the sites getting?
On Flippa sites are usually sold for 12 times their monthly revenue

@fedor50, I just bought a couple domains, so I haven't used them yet, they are just sitting currently. I don't even know how to get ads

@oliverkan, thanks for the info. It is currently just sitting, although I may get some content soon. I figured there's no way it's worth what that site claims, but having 1,000 indexed pages is good...I think. Sigh, I have no idea what I'm doing!

No, those valuation sites aren't paricularly accurate. Are you selling just the domain? Is it getting any trafic? Do you have ads on it through a domain parking service? A PR1 isn't worth a whole lot as they can easily be gotten for little more than the registration price.

When making your action on Flippa make sure you do as much research as you can and give as much info as you can on the domains. (traffic, revenue, keyword rankings, etc...). I've had the best luck when selling just domains by starting the bidding at 1$ no reserve and going from there.
The more you can sell up the site with stats and info the better you're going to do.

You can try sedo.com for this type of domains. in Flippa, if they are not good and rare names, it is not worth the try especially the fees over there ($29 + $10 fees for final price if the Price is less $200 )

If It sounds good for building a site and doesn't infringe a trade mark, maybe It have some value, that would depend how near is of the above I mentioned

The niche is something to consider, too

Sell them here on WF in relevant section, and if you use search option on the top right hand corner, then you will find various thread where warrior do offer some sort of evaluation on the site on the basis of numerous parameters.

That way, you will get various quote on your domain and make some judgement on the basis of godaddy, flippa and other domain auction site.

For very lucrative domain name, you might as well find some warriors who might buy it.

    Kind regards,
    Swrajit
