I reckon I have a good idea for an app which could benefit a certain type of people but how can I get it developed without the idea being stolen?

    You can get the developer to sign a digital non disclosure agreement which may deter them from stealing your idea,but to be honest most software developers don't have a marketing bone in their body so it wouldn't even occur to them to sell your app themselves

    That's right, it wont occur to them to sell the app themselves. Plus just because ou can create something doesn't mean you can market it properly

    I agree with Michelle. You can have them sign an agreement, but it really isn't an issue. Yes it can happen, but what can you really do about it? Even if you have a lawyer and decide to sue what if your developer lives in the soviet union (where the best programmers happen to be)?
