Is this good enough to start my affiliate website?

Hello Fellow Warriors,

I'm a newbie who was waiting to kick start with affiliate sites. I have got time and finance to start now.

I'm confused because I'm ready to buy domain and start up writing articles on niche (yes, I have keywords). Lets say opt-in forms are also ready for my site.

Blogs are set up for back-links.

Is this good enough to start now with affiliate business?

What else is actually needed?

It will take you a while before you start getting organic traffic if you just got a fresh domain.

You should think about doing some PPC, CPV, buying solo ads like safe swaps. Keep on testing.

Hi there, it's very difficult to judge your knowledge based on what you have posted.

I would advice you take a low comp keyword, set up a blog with 5-10 quality articles and then start getting backlinks and some other traffic generation strategies.

Thank you guys, but I didn't understand a single piece what @JDIZM said.

Can you give me examples for setting up backlinks from my site? Backlinks are links added to the images, posters, text to the parent site, right? Correct me if I'm wrong..

Suppose, now I own a site.. For the incoming links, I need to set up blogs similar to it and write almost same articles to this blog and link it to "my" site so that my site gets traffic..

Please Correct me if I'm wrong..

I'm sorry to say this, but although you have the basic tools to start your internet business (domain, website, etc), it appears from your comments that you don't as yet have much knowledge about how to generate traffic to your website which is crucial if you want to make money.

Don't be disheartened - it won't take you long to learn and there is a lot of information and resources in this forum.

      To answer your questions:
PPC and CPV are methods to drive traffic to your website but which cost money. With PPC (pay per click), you advertise your website on another site and you pay the other website's owner every time someone clicks on your ad, which will direct him to your website. CPV (cost per view) is a method of gaining traffic where when someone types in a query matching your requirement, your ad will pop up on his computer. You pay for every time your ad appears.

Back links are links from other websites to yours. The more "quality" back links you have, the greater the chance that search engines will think that yours is a popular and high quality site and therefore rank you higher in their search results. Note I mentioned "quality" back links because search engines are smart enough to pay less attention to or discredit completely these kind of links: paid links, links from websites which are not relevant to yours and links from "link farms"(i.e. websites set up solely for the purpose of providing back links to improve the popularity of the sites they link to).

If you want to learn more about how to drive traffic, including how to build good back links, please feel free to also check out my blog - you can find it under my profile.

      Good luck.

But I was asking about banklinks.

Was I right by definition and technique?

As it is a new site...First get your site indexed (means to let google notice your site) before you build backlinks to it. Get your site indexed for free. go to IMtalk.org, create your account, click on IMT tools>>IMT website submitter.

Why you depend on 3rd party websites for indexing your own site, just submit the website to Google. Here is the link : https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/submit-url . This is the best way to index your new website by Google.

yes you can start with affiliate programs. Make sure you go for good affiliate programs in your niche. Also make sure you have strong base and good traffic coming to your site already.

You also asked about solo ads - sorry missed that. Solo ads are where you pay for someone who has a subscriber list to send emails containing your ad to his list. You pay for the number of clicks guaranteed by the solo ad provider (i.e. the number of his subscribers who clicks on the link in the email to your website).

Its very important to have targeted traffic for better conversion. First launch your site, submit it to google, select some less competitive keywords (no matter if the monthly search is low) and do SEO for those keywords. Once you can gain better ranking for those less competitive keywords then move for medium competitive keywords gradually.

as long as you have all your opt in forms set up and your free offer set up and a small funnel to start with then you just need to drive traffic to your squeeze page now and watch conversions then make tweaks from there

theres lots of ways to generate traffic

lots of free ways and paid ways

one of the fastest ways that ive used is solo ads, i have had good results with them

you can also use ppc platforms but i would stay away from the big platforms such as google adwords and go with other networks as the traffic is way cheaper and u can often get penny clicks

Hey there are a lot of ways to get backlinks and traffic some are free and some cost you some money...

    FREE:
    • Adswaps
    • Affiliates
    • Wikipedia
    • Yahoo Answers
    • Youtube
    • Google News
    • Articles
    • Press Releases
    • SEO
    • Squidoo
    • Blogs

    PAID:
    • eBay classifieds
    • Project Wonderful
    • Warrior Forum
    • Adfly traffic
    • Solo emails

Now of course you dont want to try them all at the same time...learn one and then move onto the next. I wrote a resource the other day "How to make $150 a day in Affiliate Marketing" just click on the link and you can take it for free

But let me say two more things...

    1) If you go the free route it will take longer than the paid route...
    2) Dont go the paid route until you know your site is converting into sales...what is you sales funnel, how many clicks equate to a sale...etc...

You dont want to be spending more on traffic than what you are making on sales...

This is just what I was going to say, and it's advice not given enough to newbies. Don't get lulled into thinking you'll pay for loads of traffic and automatically make loads of sales.

It's just as likely you'll pay for loads of traffic and make NO SALES! Make sure you have something that makes you xxx dollars per visitor, then look at paid traffic maybe.

Also don't get booged down in seo - go to relevant blogs and forums, you'll be amazed how much targeted traffic that can send your way!
      Cheers,,
