EZA Photo For Pen Name?

Hi,

Just curious - what do you recommend someone use as a photo on EZA for their pen names?

Karen,

Some people use an older photo when they didn't quite look the same and I have heard of others using a little of the "blur" tool on Photoshop.

Of course, you could leave the photo off altogether.

Some people use the older version of themselves and some post new pics. It does not really matter as long as they "see" you.

Does anyone recommend using a stock photo from somewhere? I just find it puzzling that a pen name would have a photo of yourself, whether that be blurred or from an earlier time period etc..

A photo will also put you in the top 10 author list if you have written enough articles. Some nice added credibility.

I don't see why you can't use a stock photo. Most stock photo agencies will say that you can't use a photo to endorse a product but just using a photo as what is really just an avatar, nobody is going to care.

I don't know what others think about this but for me I feel kind of like I'm crossing a line if I use a picture of someone else.

I look at a pen name as an extension of myself. It is a professional part of my business and can still represent me.

Do you all use pen names then? I signed up to ezine ages ago but im sure i used my real name (haven't submitted any articles yet). Maybe I should register a new account.

If you were a guy I would suggest growing a mustache, beard or fu man chu. I guess I would suggest women use a wig, extra make up, etc... Have fun with it.

Using a stock photo is against the terms of service at EZA. I don't
know what they would do if they caught you. It could be a slap
on the wrist or they could give you and all your articles the boot.

It is supposed to be a picture of YOU. As others have suggested,
you can make yourself look pretty darn different if you want to.

You're only allowed to register one account but you can have as many pen names on that account as you like. My account is under my real name but none of my articles are. I use a different pen name for each niche.
