How Long Did it Take You to Start Earning a Full-time Income?

I would say that a full-time income is around £18,000 ($28,000). I reckon that 1 year would be enough, if someone works 8 hours a day. I could be wrong, as I'm not earning a full-time income myself. What are your thoughts? I'm not asking anyone to divulge their income; I'm just curious.

I at least made enough to buy food and pay rent so far. I'm working on getting higher-paying clients and/or looking into new ways of generating an income.

This is a very subjective question and thus very difficult to answer since there are many factors such as location and lifestyle that go into someone equating their full-time pay. Where I'm from, $28,000 won't get you very far. I don't earn what I consider a full-time income online and thus I have a 9-5.

Good point. $28,000 proabably won't get many people far. It's enough for me, though. I'm a year out of uni and only have to cover my own expenses, which are rent, food and socialising. Although, as I live in London, my rent is a little on the high side.

I hit full time in 6 months, then everything collapsed and it took me 6 more months to bring my income up with a new method and it has been pretty stable since then. So about a year is a good estimate for the average marketer.

I am retired but I can say it took me approximately one year to make more than I was making when I was working full-time. I don't touch my retirement money because I don't have to . Affiliate marketing has allowed me to live comfortably and travel, etc.

Once I actually got off my butt and did something (took action) it only took me about 2 months to completely replace my income. Of course...I did like everyone here and spend a few months buying WSOs and downloading free ebooks and basically learning but not doing.

As soon as I put things into action...it took only a very short period of time to start making money, and like I said, about 2 months to replace my income and I've been a full time IMer ever since.

So, case in point...TAKE ACTION and it will happen, very very soon.

Some very encouraging answers. I'm actually working around 10 hours a day, so I'm definitely taking action. I've already set up a few adsense sites, which I have a feeling won't be successful. But hey, I'll just chalk it down to a learning experience. I'll just let them sit for a bit, expand the ones that are working, while I start to create Amazon sites.
