    1. I suspect this is a troll thread, but I'll humor you. Go to Blogger.com, hit the "register" button, and then follow the instructions.
    2. Next go to English Grammar 101 and learn when to use capital letters, periods, commas, and other forms of punctuation so that you can produce writing that people can read without getting a headache. (Just judging by your post above.)
    3. After that, visit the SEO section here and see if you can pick up tips on free traffic.
Voila - now you have a blog.

I was shocked that that website actually existed. I typed "grammar 101" into Google and that was the #1 result. And I looked it over and it appears to be a real site as well. Win-win, right EW?

Before we start hammering the 11th grade OP/possible troll about his/her english skills, it might be helpful to know where they are from.

If you are not selling anything and just want to blog about your life, then I'll suggest you sign up for an account at wordpress.com. It is meant for diary type blogs - which sounds like what you are describing.

ANY website will need you to toot your own horn - meaning you will need to post on places like your facebook wall or twitter account - or even tell your friends at school the address of your website and get them to visit. It will then be up to you to make things interesting enough for them to want to stay or visit often.

If you are thinking you are going to want to sell something you should sign up with Blogger or Weebly.

  • I don't mean to be rude but... with that kind of grammar it's absolutely impossible for you to run any sort of blog in any possible way.

Well, there are many ways of starting up a blog.
I would recommend using a program called wordpress which is the BEST way of making a blog. To get customers to your site (if you are using wordpress only), I would recommend downloading three plugins called platinum seo pack, SEO all in one and a paid one called SEOpressor. They will help you make your site SEO friendly. Organic growth is always better than paid growth.

If you don't want to do that, go to blogger.com and sign up. I recommend you use wordpress. Note that there are two wordpress domains, wordpress.com and wordpress.org. wordpress.org is meant for installing on a hosted domain and wordpress.com hosts your blog for you.

      OK, I'll bite,

If you want to start a blog there are several platforms to choose from. Blogger is simple and you can earn revenue from your blog. Wordpress is a bit more difficult to operate and you can't earn money on it unless you self host your blog.

What you should do is blog about something you are passionate about. Maybe you are a gamer and love to play a certain game. You can be sure others love it too and it would make writing about it much easier. Start writing on your blog and building content then you can start rolling in revenue platforms.

My blog is about remodeling, tile installation and interior design. I have found that there are a lot of searches for photos as well as content as my traffic stats have grown substantially.

I have no idea what you into but think about what you love first.

      Good luck

I recently wrote an article on "how to start a blog". If you are really interested, then check it out.

Mu quick summary is to know why you want to start the blog and what is your goal. A blog in it self is not a goal. The goal will keep you focused on your blog.
Write great content, something that will blow away the reader and make them your follower.
