Hi,
I'm writing to seek advice from experts/experienced guys who have ever dealt with sales team.
Recently I decided that I will form a sales team for my products/services. I provide good product at a very competitive price.
Issue is that I'm unable to form sales team. Though I want to hire them on monthly basis who can do sales/lead generation.
Either their price are very high, and wont bring any profit to me,even in long run, as my product's value is just $24.
Though quality of product is good that it makes repeated customer.
Guys, can you please suggest me how or where should I look so that I can create a good sales team for my products.
Thank you
sarvo

Can you be more specific? Is it commission only sales? Are they selling to retail stores in quantity (100 per order or more)? What is a monthly basis?

Without any info its hard to give you any advice

      Hi Berg,
      Thank you for stopping by.
I'm selling graphics related work and my target is US/UK/Australia/Canada market.
So far, I've been doing marketing cum sales by myself, but now I think is the time to take this to next level, as I'm far more confident in my product after receiving excellent feedback.
I look out to form team on monthly pay + commission basis.
Point is that someone should be really good and know the market for these products. I did take some interviews and they are good salesperson but just don't fit in when it comes to digital products.
      Thank you

Have you considered giving them a sales pitch or a reviewer kind of a training material?

I would recommend you giving them a base pay + a commission based on their sales. Since you're forming a team, might as well find a team leader for that group. Give this Team Leader a base pay + sales commission. That will drive the Team Leader to also drive his/her team in hitting the quota. Since the agents have a quota, too, they will do their best to hit the quota.

Hire Filipino sales reps. I am a Help Desk Associate and some of my fellow associates are from the Philippines. Undoubtedly, Content Writing 360° has found few of the best sales reps from the call centers in the Philippines. Make sure you conduct a voice interview via Skype; not chat.

        I hope this helps.

I'm still not sure of what you're after can you post one of the ads you used to look for sales people maybe that will clear up some questions.

Are the sales reps hitting the bricks going door to door to businesses? Is it online work contacting webmasters? You are being to vague.

With that said I'll try to offer some help anyway. I have managed many sales reps and to get the good ones they will want the potential to earn between 500-1000$ per sale if it is strictly commission and they want that potential everyday. They are not keen on lead generation they want the leads supplied to them but they will do a little lead generation on their own and I mean a little.

If this is online work I know a guy who is hires people from the Philippines to answer ads on craigslist for companies that are looking for graphics work and then sells them his service for graphics work (which he also out sources to the philippines). I think his source for VAs is Odesk.

    Hope this helps a little

If you're looking for people to fill in your sales team, local classifieds will do. For a more web based approach, online jobs sites will also do well (ex. oDesk, eLance, PPH, etc.)

It is better to pay your sales team at a purely commission basis or a hybrid type. This will, in some level, make the sales team perform better and pay only in accordance with performance. For more attractive pay, the hybrid type provides a minimal monthly income and only augmented by commission when certain sales quotas are met. Either way, commission basis is still the best way to handle and pay sales personnel. On the other side, most people in sales actually prefer commission basis schemes for some reason I don't comprehend well. Well perhaps because you can earn really high by just working harder than others. (perhaps higher than most other same level jobs do)

    Graphic related work?

Not knowing your product, or target market makes it a little difficult to offer great work.

Ultimately you need more business, more sales.

Do you have an offer on the warrior forum? Lots of people here buy graphics.

Craigslist is another great site to get graphic jobs... so i've heard, lol

Anyway, those are ways YOU can get business, but what about having other people bring you business? Since your an online business, selling digital products at a lower rate of commission, most offline sales people probably won't be overly excited about it, unless you up your prices. Have you considered selling web design for $2,000 and offering seo services as a backend product? offline sales people could get excited about that!

If you're offering something cheaper then it's still doable online. You'll just want to change gears a little bit and look at offering your services with an affiliate commission, or white label services.

if you target webmasters there's lots of business to be drum up right here on wf
