Am I taking on too big a challenge?

Although I have been here for a while Im still would say im not very successful online yet but I have a good idea for a product that are all linked to each other but I think I am taking on more than I can handle, what do you think. It's explained below.

Creating a youtube optimization video course of me promoting my videos (if they work then the video course can be sold as a separate product and I will have a video very high on youtube getting a lot of traffic.) Then the video will link to a product that I have created related to the video niche. A "free product - for an email submit to aweber." Throughout the product is affiliate links but it is a good product overall. Then at the end of the product is a link to another product costing around $27/17 related to the product but explaining how to do something more effectively.

If you got that you are a genius and also do you think it is too much work, as most of the things are trials. (don't know if the video will rank, don't know if people will submit emails etc.)

Question for you: So the video course will link to a product to opt-in for?

If so, why don't you have them opt-in for the video course?

It sounds like you have the basic idea of the sales funnel down, but my 2 cents if you haven't started on any of this yet is to start small and start gathering those email addresses now.

Don't let the fact that you don't have a product to sell stop you from building a subscriber list.

Well, at the end of the day - would you rather say "I'm glad I did" or "I wish I had"?

I'm not sure how much work that would take but if you believe in your product then you must go for it. Recruit friends, outsource, or simply work at it over time, if you have to. Only you can decide if it's too much work - and if it's worth it.

But remember - nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Christine - The videos that are being promoted are related to the product that I would like to give away free for leads so I think that the opt in rate would be higher if the product is related to the video.

Cheryl - "im glad I did" of course, yeah this is true, just the fact that if 1 component breaks down it all goes down.

    Cheers for the responses.

Oh, I see - well, I certainly wouldn't let the uncertainties stop you - if you do create this video course, which then leads to an optin, which then offers another product to buy, then you've just done more than most people ever will!

You've got a great idea, but it sounds like you're uncertain since it is a lot of stuff you haven't done before. Make a plan, commit to getting it done and then start with the videos - you'll get it done, just stick with it.

About the one component which may not work - well, you don't know that would happen, and if it did - you'll find a way. After all, how many times did Edison fail?

        Good luck!

DO IT! Even if it doesn't turn out the way you intend, you're going to learn a lot and other possibilities will open up as you go. Good luck.

There's only one way to find out.

Your research should give you a pretty good idea though. Video marketing is still largely misunderstood by a lot of marketers.

I'm in the process of creating a video marketing product that I think will sell well and help a lot of people leverage the power of video.

But, there are no guarantees in this business.

    Hi Tom,

It sounds like we both have a similar idea for products (different topics though). Once I got started, I realized it was a bigger project than I had anticipated. The funny thing is that this motivated me more, and my guess is you experience the same thing.

You will lso be amazed at how much more you learn by creating your products in the way you decsribe. It's really win-win for yourself, so...

    GO FOR IT!

    All the best,
    Michael
