Default Warrior For Hire Section - Worth it?

Hey,

I'm curious to know about how well the Warrior for Hire section has worked for you.

I've very successfully sold WSO's, which my readers have loved, but I'm new the the Warrior for Hire section. Does it get enough traffic to make it worth my while?

When it comes to traffic, nothing beats the WSO section. If I were to make an approximation: during peak hours, the ratio of WFH visitors to WSO visitors is 1:40.

This doesn't mean that the Warriors for Hire section isn't good for anything. On the contrary, the said section provides the following benefits:

1. It is the category which Warriors refer to when they are specifically seeking particular services offered by fellow members;

2. It does not require a minimum post count from would-be advertisers.

3. It does not require a "special offer" to make the thread valid. You can advertise your normal rates.

4. Thread movement is slower. Your threads can stay on the front page for as long a week and a half at the average. Slower traffic, yes, but longer visibility is a good compromise.

5. Your advertised service can easily stand out because you can - and are required - to explicitly introduce your thread with the category of your service, i.e. Content, Programming, etc.

A year ago, when the WFH section was new, my partner created a thread advertising our content providing business. It gave us a steady stream of clients for almost 5 months.

Hope this helped.

Hey JayJay,

Thanks for the thoughts.

It did help.

I was just looking at the "Viewing Now" areas after posting, so I see just what you mean about 1:40. At any given time the WSO section has around 300 viewers, give or take.
