Keyword rich domains doubt

Hello, I have seen comments here and on other sites that using a keyword rich domain could overoptimize a site, is this true?

I know that is fair that Google have given less weight to keyword rich domains, but It's fair use them, too

I plan to create my site with an keyword rich domain not only for SEO purposes but I like how It describes the site content so visitors know inmediately what is the site about

I don't believe that a keyword-rich domain by itself will cause a site to be "over-optimized".

Google WANTS to know what the site is about and a tightly-themed site is a good thing, not a bad thing.

The over-optimizing comes when you create too many similar, low PR or non-theme related backlinks.

I think Keyword rich domains are excellent - as long as you don't end up being guilty of keyword stuffing where your articles are concerned.

      1) If you're concerned about the OOP risk, you can always go for partial match KID

      2) Just make sure that you choose a domain name that is not too restrictive in terms of your future expansion / branching out plans.

You will only be penalized if you eat the same sandwich for lunch each day. That's known in the industry as "duplicate content"

I think it's a great idea to use keyword rich domains in your sites. I've never had a problem doing this and my sites have ranked well.

It doesn't matter your domain name is keyword rich. It will be a matter if Google found your content duplicate.

    • As long as the domain name you choose is relevant to the content of your site, there should be no problem. Focus on adding quality content that relates to your domain. A keyword rich domain will help increase your rankings over time.
