Blog in a super competitive niche

I have a blog in a super competitive niche, no not the one linked in my signature. I have not given attention to it. But when I did in the past, it dint perform as well either.

Do you have a blog in a super competitive niche? And is it successful?

How did you do it?

Making a blog a success in a super competitive niche is possible, the best angle to approach it is with a nice, catchy name and a lot of OFFLINE marketing.

SEO will be difficult to compete with, so will online marketing efforts, however the tried and tested offline strategies like leaflet distribution rarely fail to achieve results.

I hope my answer was helpful for you,
    Abdullah Isa

Edit: IMHO - I just took a peep at the blog in your signature, it is nicely prepared and well written, and from what I can tell, it should turn over a profit for you - I clicked the link just out of interest to how well you create and write blogs (however I don't think much of your signature ad), and apart from the missing URL (on the "how to write a blog" link) the overall site is nicely set up.

Can you start a thread to show us how you are getting traffic from youtube?

if intense competition exists, you need to do everything possible to distinguish yourself from the crowd. think about what you can do that will give you the edge. as a consumer of the niche, how can you offer them something that they don't get elsewhere?

when you really start to put yourself in the shoes of the end user, this is how you capture markets. even small, incremental changes to your site can have a big impact over time.

Are there any examples I can look at? Someone who started late in a competitive niche and stood out?

It's all a matter of getting to know your content like the palm of your hand and having complete control over it.
Knowing what to write and how to write it will keep readers interested no matter what the competition.

The BIGGEST MISTAKE you can commit is to let the stiff competition SCARE YOU into inaction. Instead, let the stiff competition MOTIVATE you to figure out what you can bring to the table. Focus on creating your own BRAND instead of trying to catch up to what everyone else is doing. Focus on building a QUALITY content experience. At the end of the process, your visitors will be generating your traffic for you.

Fighting in a super competitive niche is a very good challenge if you are ready to take that and if you have the capability to compete with some high skilled people. Every small steps are important to stay in competition. your competitor will not seat idle when you try to out him from top. In every step, you need to differentiate yourself with offer, with content, with design, with information, with update. This is not easy and for that, people like to avoid high competitive one.
