Want to promote products but have questions.. Help!

Hi Everyone,

I want to promote this specific clickbank product but have a few questions to make sure I am understanding everything correctly and that I do things correctly. I am planning on creating a website for this product as well that will have link to the product that has a great video and can buy there. Also want to create a squeeze page later to capture optins.

1) i know how the affiliate links work but when I click on that link, it takes me to the product to buy but it also has other links on the bottom like "home", "videos" "FAQ" etc and what if my potential buyer clicks on those links (leaves my affiliate page) and then browse through the whole product website, and then decides to click "buy" from the other site it took the buyer, will it bring the buyer back to my link so I can get credit for that sale?

2) this product has it's own website and it offers a free ebook, downloadable for free, is it legal that I offer that free ebook as well on my website that I am trying to create to offer my buyers?

3) The product's website has tons of information and tips about this product, is it legal that I give those tips on my website as well?

4) Product says it has 3 upsells that can get me more money but when I go to the products official website, I dont see info about it or not even an "affiliate" link so I can find out more info. This means I can sell other products related to this main product right?

I just dont want to run into any legal issues later with the owner of this product so I want to make sure It's ok to do these things when doing affiliate marketing.

    Hey,

Don't worry, when the visitor clicks on your link, it will automatically create a cookie with your affiliate information. So even if the visitors clicks on others internal links, and then buy, you'll get your commission !

Concerning the free ebook and the tips and info, you should contact the vendor to see if you can take them from him, to make money selling his product. You can also purchase PLR Ebooks (Private Label Rights, means that you can give them away) in the same niche and use them to build your list.

Finally, concerning the upsells, don't worry ! They are offers that visitors can see after purchasing the front-end. You'll get credited if they buy them after purchasing the basic offer.

    Well i agree with Marc...

about the free ebook and tips and info...i would say first and most NO you cant use them...if you want to use then first check their affiliate section where its mentioned everything and if you cant find answer for your query then go and ask vendor...

If you are going to use for your squeeze page then i would say even if vendor allows you the tips and info to use on your squeeze page..dont use it because you will not get any value from search engine for your site so better to use original and unique content...you can hire some writer to just rewrite some points and use them so its not proprietary of that vendor...

about features of the products..yes you can use them otherwise how you gonna get them sales but you need to write in your own wordings so content can not be copies otherwise the vendor of that site even will get penalized....

    best regards

One good tip is to ask the vendor themselves to see if they dont already have spun content you can use as a "freebie" for your site.

I think if they are giving that for free then you can also offer them in your site. but discuss with the vendor its the best Idea i think.
And if they go form your affiliate link and buy after visiting other links that's not a problem. I think CB also get payment for each sell from that they give you something. So I think CB will be much worried than you
So you don't have to worry.

This isn't necessarily so: ClickBank's system is that the most recent affiliate cookie on the customer's computer is the one awarded the affiliate commission.

Sorry, but this just isn't how it works. ClickBank gets exactly the same (7.5% of the retail price + $1, per sale) regardless of whether or not there's an affiliate involved and/or who the affiliate happens to be. So on those grounds they won't be "worried" at all, either way.

Thanks for all the input guys. I really appreciate it. I'm new to IM so any input is greatly appreciated. And I'm actually doing something about it today.. I'm getting my domain, web hosting and I'm getting a website for a great price... Now I have to learn how to get traffic once I have everything done... oh boy... I heard that's the hardest part.
