This person have money, so why you are discouraging him? He will understand the whole game when regularly he will loss 500$

I don't think to earn around 500-700$ per month anyone have to invest a single penny. (without the domain and other technical charges)
you can invest some in SEO or other marketing process. Not needed if you can do them by yourself. So its better to read read and read.

LOL MW6! I got paid to get started in IM myself. I spent $30 on a completely crap product, but it had a private member's forum and I quickly was asked by the members to write their content for them. I think I'd made my investment back in a couple of weeks, and then I went on to make 50-100x what I spent on the course over the next 2 months. The course itself never worked for me, and it's since been taken down.

That's why I made my initial post here the other day the way that I did. For anyone with 1/2 a brain (no offense to any readers out there who have less than that), the only thing you should ever spend money on in IM is your domain and hosting. (Unless you're doing CPA/PPC, but I know nothing about that so I can't advise you there.)

I've found so many different ways to make money just by reading posts in the WF that I'll never run out of ideas, even if the Google Armageddon update comes out. (Armageddon will be when they just say #$%^ it and de-index the entire Internet.)

If you are new to internet marketing, it is too bad that you cannot make it successfully in a short time frame.There will be no one that kind enough to guide you. This is cruel but it is true.I spent a lot initiately and hoped that i would get some help from those so-called gurus. But they only showed me the things which can be easily available on internet.You need to try different methods until you find something which works for you.

To me (since i already have experience), what i need for an start up is as follow:
- $12/month for a unlimited domain registration webhosting.
- $8/year for domain (i would buy a few of them, let's say 5 domains).
- Get a freelance to write eBook or articles for your topic(s) for about $200.
- Use free tools like Wordpress template for your website.
- Do marketing with free methods (facebook, youtube, article submission, forum marketin etc) to get traffic and to get ranked in major search engines.
- Spend some money for ads and backlink (about $200).
- Link all the monetizing tools for free (Google adsense, affliates for electronic products, affiliates for physical products).

My cost will be:
- Webhosting: $12/month x 12 = $144
- Domain: $8/domain x 5 domains = $40
- Freelance articles or ebook: $200
- Wordpress: FREE
- Marketing with free methods: FREE
- Ads & backlink: $200
- Monetizing tools: FREE

TOTAL COST: $144 + $40 + $200 + $200 = $584

I will be spending about $584 for my business which starts from zero. It will soon up and run and generate decent income if you use the correct methods.Hint: Go to my signature.Hope this information will give you some general ideas about how much you need to spend. But it is not gurantee that newbies can do what i said.

Niche blogging where you create a blog on your own domain centered around a particular niche like dating, weight loss, sports, videos...and write product reviews and articles related to stuff in your niche is a great way to go. It doesn't cost much, allows you produce long-term residual income, build a list of targeted buyers and more. You would also have plenty of money left over to invest into paid methods like pay-per-click -- although I recommending laying the proper foundation and starting with free traffic first.

With 500 dollars your best bet is to invest in some content! A great way to get ahead is to get some really interesting content that will help build your creditably. And once you get some good content go ahead and get some promoting done on them. It could be SEO, or backlinking or both! That should get you really going strong. You always want to have a little library of good content that you can publish once a week or once a week!

My sincere advice is dividing ur money into 3: one for spending, one for investing and one for saving
Well, take my story as an example (i earned 1000 usd from Fiverr, yep, no kidding!). What am I doing with that amount of money:
1. Spending: Reward myself with some games/apps from App Store, a Guild Wars 2 account (a MMO game also)
2. Investing: I bought IM tools like Market Samurai, pay hosting fees, buy domains, etc
3. Saving: I'm still having 600 usd in my paypal account and I am gonna spend/invest until 300-400 left for saving

PS: Just make sure that your invest money is worth the investment and you will get revenue from it

Put it away until you have read the WF and decided what kind of business you'd like to start. Anything else is just throwing money away. Without a plan, you might as well flush it down the toilet ... or give it to me.

No one is going to hand you a blueprint. That part is up to you. You need to study the different ways people here make money and decide which way suits you best.

HI Scott,

I have experience of investing in people through my site. If you're thinking of investing in a business for yourself then that would have to be your decision and your idea but really look at ways to get profit out of it first, you don't want to throw $500 down the drain.

Don't waste it on buying too many informational products, If you're intending to then buy something that really interests you. It's hard to invest that money but get a site up and running and set a budget for SEO, marketing etc and go from there.

If you're looking to invest in other people's businesses then find someone that needs investment in an already running business or a joint venture through a partnership. They may have the ideas and you will have the investment.

I'm in a similar situation, here's probably my plan:

KW research for high CPC keywords
Get domain hosted and site designed $100
Buy some PLR for an Optin $50
Get articles written $175
Traffic Sources $175

Something like that - I essentially want a profitable site I just maintain over 2-3 hours a week (post 2 good quality articles that someone else has written, I just proofread before posting and some manual backlinking)

I recommend you to use this money to build your list

- Choose your niche
- Buy a hosting account and an autoresponder account ( ~$30)
- Create a squeeze page (free)
- Buy a PLR Ebook to give (a few bucks)
- Buy a PLR Package for your OTO (a few bucks)
- Start creating your funnel ( something like : optin => (confirmation) => oto => free download)
- Create autoresponder series to build a relationship with your list

Then, spend your money getting traffic :
- PPC
- Solo ads
- Ad swaps
- Media buys
- Articles
etc....

If you have a killer funnel, you should make some money while building your list

You don't need money to make money...you MAY need money to INCREASE your website traffic ...many strategies required no cash to make money. you can buy solo ads when you have your FREE website installed with affiliates products. The Business World is not a gambling world.... It is a strategy world... And make your research about solo ads, some of them are just pure scam...Educate yourself about business ALL THE TIME

I think anyone that had $500 to invest should only listen to those that have the bumps and bruises to prove it, plus the successes to back that advice up. Many that are giving advice online need to back it up, for example did they use the same plan they are giving you and what were the results it yielded. No offense and this is not meant to be a judgment on anyone, but have those that are giving advice ever made more than a penny of profit online, again I ask, can we prove it, including myself. Many have the head knowledge and talk a lot of air but few have the experience to show you the way, there are few true mentors. I have no idea who any of these people are giving advice; they could probably be the next Steve Jobs but simply take what is being said here and investigate until you know what you know. I know there are some good solid people on Warrior Forum but I think all this type of thread does is confuse the world out of someone starting out.

With $500, realistically what are you wanting to turn that $500 into and how fast? Most of the time it's incremental, everything thing you do, you should do with purpose. Using free options can bring profits but its best you are prepared to hustle and hustle hard. Even in something like Forex trading, where it's a zero sum game and considered gambling by many, if you treat it like a business then you bring a level of intelligence and a strategy that will work. So what I am trying to say is, yes you can treat this $500 like a gamble or like a business, set it up from the get go like a business and follow your plan, write your vision and make it plan.

If you need to make money fast and are in a desperate situation then from my own experience and others I know, you will probably loose every penny and have nothing to show for it. Just be wise about what is being said, I have been at the point where I look for the best area to invest in, I still go through it and that is with much more than $500 but it's a journey and it take breaking apart the information and putting a plan together and eventually launch it in action, the key here is the word PLAN.

I would invest around $50 into physical products then build it up from there. You can sell the products on places such as eBay, Amazon, Play, Craigslist ETC
