Making slides for video product review

I'm trying to figure out how to make the slides for the video product reviews. What software is used to do that?

Another problem I'm having is product images. Most product images you copy from Amazon come with a white background. How do you get that background off of there so that you can just have the product image without the background?

Any help you folks can lend will be greatly apprecaited!

There are many, many different ways to make slide show videos.

Here's some online slide show makers:
    Animoto.com
    Jing
    Kizoa - Also has collages
    Prezi
Screencast-o-matic.com - Free or just $15 for a year of Pro
    Screenr.com/
    Sliderocket.com

The problem with the free online services is that their license is generally restricted to "personal use" and you're probably breaking their TOS if you do product reviews.

I suggest you try Windows Live Photo Gallery - If you have a fairly new PC, you may already have it so you have a pretty good slide show maker installed. If it isn't installed, download it here for free. It's actually a pretty good slide show maker and is easy to get started. And you won't be limited by how you can use your slide shows.

The biggest problem with Windows Live Gallery is that it only exports videos as AVIs, which is fine, except the videos are 10x the size of videos in the MP4 format. Youtube will accept both formats, it's just it will take 10x as long to upload AVI as opposed to MP4.

There's tons of videos on Youtube that will teach you how to use Windows Live Photo Gallery. There are also many other resources for it, just google it.

Right now, I wouldn't worry about getting the product image seperated from the white background. Instead, add it to slides/images that also use white backgrounds.

To answer your question though, you need a program like Gimp of Photoshop. Use the "magic wand" tool to select the white background, then go to the menu and choose "select inverse"(or something similar). Then "copy" the image.

Again, there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube for both Gimp and Photoshop...But I wouldn't mess with graphics programs other than Paint for the time being, until you get the slide shows down.

If you the videos that you'll be making are simple, you can actually make slideshows on Microsoft Powerpoint, you'll just have to convert it to a video file after wards.

Also, you can make use of Windows Movie Maker on your PC. It is a simple software that enables you to add pictures/texts/videos/audios and make them into a single movie.

But if you don't want to use the softwares mentioned about, try downloading Sony Vegas Pro. You can find guides and tutorials on youtube on how to use it properly. I have done numerous videos with it and it's a really great tool!

Regarding the Amazon images, you have to manually edit that on Photoshop using magic wand.
