Both Twitter and Amazon have reset my accounts' passwords!

Something to do with the recent hacking of email ids used for registering with Associated Content/Yahoo?

I also received a mail from Yahoo acknowledging my email id was among the hundreds and thousands posted publicly on a site.

Anyone else received such a notice? I think I'll simply close my yahoo account. It was just a backup email which I haven't even opened in months

    Closing that Yahoo account is a no-brainer since it's only a backup account. Do you recall the title of that email? I don't want to scroll through 2,000 emails:rolleyes:

    Saw the news about the recent hacking on Yahoo. I suggest closing that Yahoo account too.

    I don't use Yahoo anymore so I have not stumbled onto any problems just like yours.

    I got similar emails as well.I changed the password and still continue using it.I hope it should be fine with the password changed.

    I got something similar today from FaceBook asking me to confirm my identity and choose a new password, although I didn't hear from Yahoo themselves.
