Hi,

Do you mind to share your average monthly income from Internet Marketing?

Thank you

I recently got into IM myself but I'm already making $500/month in residual income...and it can only go up from there :-)

This question has already been asked and answered a few times in this forum.
I personally never reveal my income because everyone is different.
If I say $10k a month, you would be excited. If I say $200 a month, you would be upset.

If he is knew to the market, he probably wants to know how much money there is to be made online.

At the OP, there is plenty to be made

      I agree with this...

For so many years I constantly RESEARCHED internet marketing, but now I'm actually building websites.

I haven't made money but I'm just starting on the path of "Real Action" (instead of the fake "action) I was taking all the time not actually doing anything.

It is tempting to constantly check to see if i've made a sale but at least instead of spending time thinking about getting rich i'm building websites trying to make that happen.

Article Piggy Bank is my first site, I've already designed 10 more (I know...I know... "divided focus")...but for me that "divided focus" is actually more on track than ever before because my focus was divided on dreaming about building this website, and that website, and so on and so forth.

Now I'm building sites... but I've already stopped building them.

I launched a handful, now I'm going to expand them by adding content to them.

      Hopefuly it works.

      Sorry for rambling.

      I do that at times.

OP let me ask you this.

    1. How long have you been in Internet Marketing.
    2. What are you good at. i.e photoshop, writing, dreamweaver etc.

Let me know and I can steer you in the right direction.

I don't make as much as I want to just yet but I'm nearly there.

    Cheers

Sorry - Alex, but your question is like asking a random business person how much he makes. It depends on so many things other than just how long he's been in business, like:

      - how good he is
      - the specific niche
      - what his specific skill is
      - the value provided to his customers
      - his business model
      - the competition in that niche
      - the target market
      etc, etc

There are struggling businesses online and offline and then there are the Mark Zuckerbergs....

Sorry - your question does not make sense.

But if you want to know how much you can make - well, it depends on how willing you are to work hard and learn.

      Cheers

Greater than $0, but less than $1,000,000,000 per month. Be happy, that's more than I've ever divulged before .
This would give newbies a guideline about how much to be expected if they reach the level of an experienced internet marketers.
No it wouldn't, and it's foolish to think so. This is not a job, and there are not guaranteed pay grades that you will reach because you did certain things for a certain amount of time. Your results will vary. Stop looking for guarantees. Either do it or quit. It's that black and white.

The issue is that my income is quite sporadic. Most months I at least make my car and insurance payment and then push the rest back into the business for expenses and new ideas.

However, for example one of my niches is gaming, specifically online games. When a new, big game is coming out that I am built around I see a surge in revenue, and then it drops down to normal levels.

My issue hasn't been the ability to make money online. It's sufficiently scaling up with lists that I got left behind. I made some early mistakes, suffered from burnout (from lack of outsourcing content) and it nearly cost me my entire online income.

I would say that I am getting back on track and look to break that brutal glass ceiling soon!

The very vast majority make little to nothing. But this is to be expected because so many are just in and out the door, poke around here and there or stick around and never really do anything except post to forums all day long.

Of those people with skills and giving a legitimate ongoing effort (a very tiny percentage overall), about 15% of them will find it worth their time in general (though income usually isn't high enough or consistent enough to be full time). Basically all of the sales are made by those in the top 5% (of the "working" group, not overall). You really need to be in that top 5%.

These figures are based on data I have gotten from affiliate program managers over the years.

As you see, most people do mind.

Though this section of the forum's subtitled "Where we talk about making money", it's traditional that threads asking "How much?" get twice as many replies commenting on the fact that you're asking (even though it's a perfectly legitimate question) as responses answering that question.

It might, to some extent, albeit concealing what they might have to do, to reach that level. But still, it can clearly be "inspirational" to some (and was to me, actually, when I started).

I used to give figures, when people asked this, but I've found recently that the behavior of some people is such that if one offers figures, one exposes oneself to personal attacks and hostility.

Possibly partly, in my case, through being young and female, and probably motivated largely by resentment from much older people who have been struggling (and sometimes getting almost nowhere) for many years. :p

But this is the point, really, and is why I'm replying at all: to mention to you that there's no ceiling on what you can earn apart from one that you choose for yourself, and that probably 3% of the people earn 97% of the money. (I used to say that 10% of the people earned 90% of the money, but I'm increasingly convinced that that - like so much else I've suggested around here - was probably a heavy-duty understatement).

    Good luck!

  • Nothing wrong with this question, I always wandered this myself when I first started.

About 1-2 months ago, I posted a thread about how I reached my goal of £1,000 in month. It's not even half way through July and I've exceeded that amount.

IM is kind of like a snowball effect, the hardest part BY FAR is the starting out. I think it took me like 5 months to make my first sale.

Stick to one proven method and scale up only on what works.

The above quote is the best answer given thus far. I would like to add that IM is like that old "tricky" question about which you would rather be given: $1,000,000 up front and nothing more on January 1st, or one penny ($0.01) on January 1st but with each successive day receiving double the amount of money you were given the previous day, through the 31st of the month. So, you get paid $0.01, next day $0.02, day three $0.04...you look like a twit until day 25, when suddenly your grand total of payments goes beyond one million dollars. By the end of January you've been paid something like $21,000,000. But it takes you almost to the end of the month to prove that you were smart to forego that up-front million dollars.

I agree with the how much part, not so much with the how they do it bit. Are marketers likely to reveal their niches/products that don't have to do with IM here? Not usually. Our niches are our business, why willingly invite everyone and their brother to come flood it with crap because they see that we are making money with it?

How we monetize though is rarely a secret. It's the basis of most of the discussions on here anyways: article marketing, affiliate marketing, product creation, SEO, mobile sites, offline, CPA, all that different stuff is discussed at length. It's just up to you to decide how you use those methods to take what you know/have to sell and make money with it.

I'm not a fan of that kind of public announcements. I'd like to keep it to myself, and share only with selected few (some business partners, some of my students etc.) if needed.

Don't concentrate fully on the $xx / month that internet marketers can make.

Rather, hone your skills and learn. Develop your own goals as to WHY you want to make $xx / month, outside of the monetary world.

That'll give you more determination to actually be persistent and last in the IM world

    Good luck OP!

Most people don't reveal their income. Not only is it personal, but not everyone who makes money online does it the exact same way. Also, if you find a legit business model and program that teaches it, it's more about how much work you put into it -- not about the actual model you use.

    I wouldn't mind - IF it had a point.

    It doesn't.

My income has little if anything to do with your goals or needs.

In an excellent guide to goal setting that Paul Myers once sold
(with PLR), he says words to this effect:

"If your dream is to sip a drink on the beach, you don't need
a million dollars to live it. Just hop in a car and start
driving in the right direction, till you reach the beach!"
Too often, people don't think hard enough about what they really
want, and blindly peg a dollar figure on their dreams.

From experience, I will say this. Whatever your income target or
goal, you *CAN* reach it through IM.

    (Read this story)

No, it isn't easy, or automatic, or overnight.

    But it is possible.

With a plan. With action. With belief and persistence.

    With passion.

I've been at it for 15 years. It has taken me further towards
what was once a seemingly impossible goal than I'd have ever
    imagined possible.

Better still, each day has been a fun learning and growing
    experience.

Late last night, I read this amazing quote from a book about
    time management:

Anyone can do anything. As long as three conditions exist:

    1. You want to achieve it.
    2. You believe you can achieve it.
    3. You enjoy trying to achieve it.

We often think we need only the first two, but it's the third
condition that's most important. The trying is the day-to-day
reality. And trying to achieve something is very different
from achieving it. It's the opposite, actually.

If you want to be a great marketer, you need to spend years
being a clumsy one. Want to be a great manager? Then you'd
better enjoy being a poor one long enough to become a good one.

Because that practice is what it's going to take to eventually
    become a great one.

...you'd better enjoy trying to achieve your goals. Coz
you'll never spend ten thousand hours doing anything you don't
    enjoy.
    - excerpt from "18 Minutes: Find Your Focus, Master Distraction
& Get The Right Things Done" by Peter Bregman

    Hope this helps

    All success

My intention is to get some general feedback from those who are willing to share the opinion.

I don't mean to be impolite to you guys.

My personal monthly income from internet marketing is in the range of thousands dollar (peanut compared to those who earn gazillion dollar per month... haha...)

Hopefully newbies who read this thread will trust that some of us are sharing true information here ( bit some might talk rubbish and are not helpful at all).
