How Much Can An Ebook Make In A Week?

With a decent book that is based on something in demand and put up on Clickbank with a decent sales funnel and maybe with a Kindle version make $1,500 in a week?

I've seen some pricey items on Clickbank that had no interesting presentation rack up points. So something cool and interesting should do better?

What's realistic here?

It depends on the niche, the jv support and the upsells / downsells and life time value of the customer... And of course initially it will be slow and then as time goes by it's going to make more and more as long as its good on quality, niche and support from promotions and your own promos. truthaboutabs is a classic example , he is making millios an year, but to get there lots of hard work had to be pit in intially like in any other venture.

It all depends on the marketing, especially your pre launch marketing efforts. Do you have affiliates lined up already to promote your product?

You can make an affiliate page with an opt in box and advertise it on here (in the right section, off course). Just keep them posted about your product. That way, when the ebook launches you will already have people promoting it to their list.

Whatever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it, they will want to come back and see you do it again and they will want to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.~ Walt Disney.

Well the subject matter is crowd funding. I work with two of the biggest crowd funding sites and had this book on the shelf. I just cut a potential $40 million deal with one company regarding medical crowd funding and I wanted to get this book out. Just a simple 13,000 word book about the process not about being a big shot crowd funding guru. It's a simple "what is" and "what to try".

Bluestarace, thanks much! I'll look at that option of advertising on WF if I don't have anymore problems. Lemme go see how much it costs to advertise here.

It seems to me that you are maybe putting the cart before the horse here. What you are really saying is that you would like to make $1500 a week but don't really know how to go about it.

The realistic response is that chances are you wont even come close.

Generally, if you know how to create a great product and you know how to build a high converting funnel, you also know how much you can make.

I think your projections might be a bit too high for now. Just take some time to understand the sales funnel, upselling, and selling on the backend

No one can really give you an answer to that because there are too many factors to take into consideration (i.e. the niche, method of promotion, number of affiliates, conversation rates for the sales page, how much search traffic it gets...)

I'm going to stick to the original plan by uploading the book to clickbank, kindle etc. and then move on with the promotion. Some good folks gave me some sales strategies but it's always wise to ask around.

      Good luck
And remember that once your ebook gets uploaded, make sure to actively promote it to the affiliates....you could even have contests to make it a little exciting.

Promoting it to the affiliates is what I need hatting on.

I might offer the winners a water color painting of their kids or pets or something.

When launching an ebook, or any digital product "who you know" is probably more important than "what you know." I've seen some terrible products do hundreds of thousands in sales, and some great products do next to nothing.

What really matters is how much targeted traffic you can get to your offer, and usually the best way to do that is to have some friends with big....email lists!

Exactly! That's why I put out feelers for a JV.

There are so many people who don't know about the subject of crowd funding that I just had a conversation with our animation community here in Hollywood. Some people are racking up donations and breaking records however the majority of the community doesn't know jack squat about the subject. Luckily I have my stuff ready. I can promote it freely on the comics and animation sites too.

So yes, "who" you know and their marketing reach can and often is the break point.

This. It all boils down to who you know, the affiliates that you're able to recruit, your marketing, and of course the quality of your product

Yes, that's why doing the best and effective as well attractive thing is primary. Then go out fishing, give affiliates that extra something and try to attract more.

I've heard that an ebook can make between $0-$10,000,000/week.

It will be completely dependant on circumstances as many others have mentioned, it's fun to think about, but usually you can't realistically know how much you can make until you try it.

    To answer your question:

    YES!

I have done this several times and without a Kindle Ebook as well - but it depends on so much more than an "ebook".

The niche & your marketing will determine how much you make.

Get it right and you can make $xxxxxx

One thing I can add is that affiliates are extremely important to any success you will have in sales of your ebook. Affiliates will promote your ebook to their lists and expose your work to so many more people than you could yourself.

Put that together with all the other info in this thread and you could be quite successful.

  • Not much. Ebooks are archaic. Gotta think large. $225 payments, $2,000 payments, $20,000 payments. All beat trying to sell and ebookd for $27
