Hi

I am in the process of writing my first ebook in the seo niche and need your in put.

Which do you consider the best way to sell such a product? Do I go for kindle and iPad sales or should I set up some kind of sales funnel and sell as an information product through a wso or even clickbank?

I do not have a massive amount of time to put in to it but could outsource a lot of it.

What do you think?

Release it as a WSO to test how well it converts, then use clickbank and buy traffic to it.

That's not necessarily true.

Using the example of a product on SEO, think about the likely responses. If it's basic, you'll get a ton of twits screaming that it's "rehashed crap," even if you say "This is an intro to SEO." No matter what approach you take to the subject, there will be a lot of people who will try to argue it with you. And you'll likely get ignored by the people who need the product most.

Things don't work that way outside of marketing forums, for the most part. The potential customers are usually not also competitors.

Another example: I picked up a WSO on email efficiency by Paul Irvine recently that would be killer stuff for most people. (Not much use for email power users, but we're the minority.) Excellent product, with a really high return of time savings for the effort it takes.

That could sell a lot of copies in the right marketplace. Here, it will likely get drowned out by the "sexier" offers.

Gotta keep the offer/market match in mind.
