Ranking Local Information Sites

I'm getting 1,400 unique organic visitors to an information site I have. All traffic comes from Google; and is all from one city. My site details art ideas for body piercings, tips to get healed faster, pros and cons and general information.

I need to know some other niches that would be relatively easy to rank for locally (City, Country).

PS. The site isn't ranked in NZ.

Why don't you use the Google keyword toolbox to find out the amount of competition in the other niches

My worry is that in some niches you wont be able to rank due to their being websites with more relevant information, eg. WebMD.

But say, If I were to make a site around kiwi spotting (for example), I have a much higher chance of ranking because NZ is the only country with kiwis.
