INTERNET MARKETING

I've written a web app that sends text you select from a web page to your kindle as a file. The only thing is I'm not sure what to do with it. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

You could create an embeddable button for site owners. That way their visitors can "download for kindle" with your widget/button. Then if you can make it popular charge for branding free buttons/widgets.

Well there are several tried and tested monetization strategies;
a) ad revenue (esp. freemium)
b) affiliate marketing
c) direct product sales
d) lead gen

You have to pick which monetization/revenue strategy is best for your long term and short term goals...

Do you want to make a real business out of this or is this just a pet project you'd prefer to make money (but you are not super duper wedded to the idea...)
