Okay, Here is where I am confused.

Articles. How many do I need to make?

Like, am I supposed to make one up every day for the rest of my life on a particular topic or key word/phrase.

So if I have a page on my website called "pink poodles", how many articles do I write for it? Is it just a simple answer of the more I make the more visitors I get?

Then take Hub pages or squido do I make the same article on "pink poodles" there as well.

So now I would have threee identical articles one on say ezine articles (and the rest), one on a hub pages and one on squidoo.

If they are all the same, word for word, what is the point of using all article directorys, hub pages and squidoo together.

Hub pages are just mini websites, arn't they. So why waste typing for hub pages and not just concntrate on making more articles and content for you own website?

I'm totally confused here.

Cheers,
Peter

I love the way you have used 'pink poodles' as your example. It made me smile, I now have an image in my mind, of a hunky welder carrying a pink poodle.

The same questions have been befuddling my brain too. I think the answer is to have slightly different content on each page - tailor your article slightly differently on each.

I think the reason for having these different pages (with essentially the same content) is to get traffic from different sources. Some people may find your web page, others will find your squidoo lens and others will find your hub. Also, I believe you can benefit from backlinks. Articles give you a bit of credibility and can provide a wide exposure plus a link to your sales page. And finally, Google treats them all differently, so if your web page isn't highly ranked for a particular search term, then your squidoo lens might do better and come higher up the Google rankings, so you might still generate sales that your web page may not have got.

This is all based on what I have read, not practical experience yet.

It's all about the backlinks. Backlinks is what moves your page up in the SERPS. Being at the top of the SERPS is what gets you traffic.

You want to get as many as possible to your page on "pink poodles" that's what you are using the ezine articles, hub pages, squidoo lenses etc... for. The articles on these sites should all link back to your "pink poodles" page on your main website. Google likes these sites because they have "authority" so a link from them is "good".

Depending on how much competition there is, you might get top placement in the SERPS with just a couple of links to the page. If there is a lot of competition you might need quite a few links to even make it into the top 100.

Yes, you will also get traffic from these pages as well.

And if you want to take it one step further, why stop with just 1 site in the top 10 for "pink poodles"? Next you can get backlinks to your articles, hubpages, squidoo lenses etc... and then you can dominate the entire first page of google with YOUR web properties.

I can write 5 good quality articles a week and get good quality links from them and if you bookmark them you can get away with doing even less. It always depends on what your niche is and what you want to get out of it.

There is no set amount of articles you need.. It really depends upon what you are wanting to do. What you need to remember is that it is "Article Marketing", meaning you must do marketing...

This is the very short version ....

You post your articles to your site/blog first then you post it to several article directories, the amount again depends upon what you want to do but do NOT just depend upon EZA. There are many great top article directories you can build backlinks and generate traffic from.

After submitting your articles (spun, changed, or use the same - Your Choice) to article directories then you can create a hub page and squidoo leanse. After you want to bookmark all of them, not all at the same time though. Once you bookmark then you want to submit your RSS Feeds and ping your site/blogs.

Keep submitting articles and building your hub/squidoo pages and do bookmarking and post to your blog..
