What Internet Browser Are You Using And Why?

I have always been a true firefox fan. It has good mail plugins and is very stable and secure.
Nowadays I do also have Opera next to firefox because I think it works faster but it is not
compatible with some sites.
With Opera there is also the widget functions which I am now using such as the todo list.

Anyway, what browser are you using and why?

I'm using Firefox. I started using it last year because the only other browser I had was IE6. So every time I wanted to look at a new page, I had to open a whole new browser window if I didn't want to leave the page I was on.

I heard about Firefox and saw where it would open new pages in a new tab of the same browser window. So I downloaded it and started using it. I really like it. I know IE makes that a feature on their browsers now, but I like Firefox, so I'm sticking with it.

I use firefox. I started using it last April when I got really involved in IM. Everyone I came across mentionned it was the better browser, so that's why I started using it and they were all right. I love that I can get addon so my browser is more in line with my needs.

but I do check my blogs regularly on IE because sometimes they might look good on Firefox, but terrible on IE.

I use Firefox. I changed from IE when I was researching the spyware niche and learnt of all the vunerabilities with IE. I still have both on my machine as they are useful for seeing how new websites that I create look in different browsers.

I started using Firefox when IE was having real security issues and stay with it now. I've become accustomed to a number of handy extensions that aren't in IE. Of course, I check all my websites in all browser formats, but for personal browsing, I stay with Firefox, even though I need to reboot my computer more often to clear the memory that it hogs.

I use Flock. It's based on the Firefox framework and as such can use all the plugins etc designed for that. The benefit of Flock however is that it comes with several powerful social media functions built in. Simple management of social bookmarks and feeds are the main things I use. There are many other features built in that I don't use to their full advantage as well such as receiving account updates directly through your browser.

The problem I have noticed lately with firefox is if you have the real player download plugin sometimes images won't show.

You have to disable the plugin to get them to show again.

Like most posters, I'm using firefox as its a great reliable browser and it offers so many useful plugins for shortcutting to your favorite sites. Great login and password saving, as well as the ability to save where you were in your prior surfing session, so you can pick it up straight away where you left off! A great tool and keep using it for sure!

I'm big on standards compliance, so I stick with Firefox and Chrome whenever possible. Mostly Firefox because I can't live without certain addons (FireBug is a life saver if you're doing any kind of web development that involves Javascript). I don't touch IE unless I'm testing something to make sure it renders properly in all the browsers I have available to me.

I use Google Chrome, it is fast but crashes too much on downloads. I also use IE7 and FireFox, depeding on what I am doing. IE7 has the advantage of being a Swiss Army knife of a browser.

I have been a big fan of FireFox for quite some time. It seems to be great. I have been getting itchy to try one of these new browsers eventually, but fear too many bugs. + I am not sure what these new browsers can really offer me atm.

I hope that there is a day to where FireFox becomes obsolete for me.
