How To Make $50/Day With YouTube and Clickbank - Step By Step

by 141 replies
A Youtube affiliate marketing strategy making me an average of $50 per day on Clickbank right now:

CB is the easiest aff network cause you promote whatever any product you want. But of course, you can do this with any product that has an affiliate program.
  • Find a product to promote that's not too competitive. I usually pick products that have a gravity between 10-100 and payout of $20+
  • Go into Google KW Tool, make the product name has more than 100 local [exact] searches
  • Do a google search for the product name. Make sure there's already a YouTube video on page 1 and it has less than 20,000 views. If it does, you can easily outrank them with basic SEO
  • Email the product creator and ask for a review copy. Tell them you're an experienced experinced marketer and you'll be driving traffic to a review video with SEO. 60% of the time, they'll hook you up.
  • If you get the review copy, great. If not, you can do this anyways using the sales page as content fo ryour review. Or, you can move on to another product.
  • Create a screen capture video with Camtasia or camstudio (free version) reviewing the product. If you got a review copy, do an "inside look" of the product. make sure to have a call to action to click on the link below the video.
  • Save the video as productname.mp4. This actually helps with rankings
  • Upload to YouTube, include product name in title, description and tags. Add an annotation with the product name.
  • The first line of your description should be "Product Name Download: hxxp://www.yourafflink.com(cloak your affiliate link by buying a new domain and redirecting it, or use tinyurl)
  • Get fast views to your video from vagex.com ($1 for ~400 views, ~30 likes and some comments)
  • Build 500 social bookmarks to your video ($5 on fiverr)
  • If video isn't ranking on page 1, build edu links, web 2.0 links and distribute to other video sites (outsource on fiverr)
  • Repeat with other videos. Once you have the system down, you can start outsourcing on oDesk.
I was a bit hesitant to share this at first. Then I realized that there so many affiliate products out there that this won't get saturated anytime soon.

Updates: Sure, other people are doing this, but it still works.

I've been flooded with PMs and Skype requests. Sorry if I haven't responded yet, it's been a busy last couple of weeks.

But I just created new blog post that expands on this method and gives an example video that everyone has been asking for: http://www.geniusprofits.com/profit-...bank-products/

UPDATE #2: Due to all the PMs and emails I've been receiving, I decided to create a video explaining this method:

Do something simiar myself but instead I use it for list building instead.

May I ask, how many reviews have you done to make that amount of money per day?

Also, do you give away a bonus as well that would be mentioned in your video of course?

I've experimented with a lot of different video types (cartoon advertisements, powerpoint presentations, straight sales pitches, animoto videos, etc.) and "inside look" review videos seem to be converting the best.

I have about 8-10 review videos.

I do give away bonuses for more expensive products, such as IM launches or software.

A nice share. I am sure you have helped some beginner marketers out there get started which is great.

Just one question though, how do you know the above to be fact? I have often wondered but am curious if you are just speculating or you have proof that this does make a difference.

I imagine it would be VERY hard to come to the conclusion that the video filename has made a difference in your ranking.

There was a case study that proved this. I'll try to dig it up.

Ryan Deiss also mentions this in his YouTube Hack report.

While hard to prove it helps, the file name is added as the video title when uploading to Youtube. The title can still be modified.

However, while it's possible that the file name helps, it's very likely that it doesn't hurt either. It's so easy to do, as well as a good habit to be in for other reasons, that it makes sense to do it.

Something doesn't have to be fact to be recommended. IMO in this example, we need to determine it definitely doesn't help or is harmful NOT to use keywords in the file name.

I have used this method as well for list building. The point here is to go after low competition keywords as it will get expensive for newbies to go after medium (over 700 searches) keywords.

It's so nice to see a thread about someone having success with IM that the usual, "HELP! I need to make $xxxx by next week" or whatnot. Congratulations on your success!

Out of curiosity, are you collecting names & email addresses as well? Thanks!

it is easy to hit page one for keywords with over 4000 exact matches and for free. I would go for 1500 - 5000 exact matches keywords

Great place to start for people who are struggling to make a buck. Good on you for sharing this. I would say it will become a saturated marked if too many people start making your kind of money and sharing the tips though

Good on ya for the share

If you pick a product with high gravity does that mean it will be harder to find keywords to rank with?

You basically search for long tailed keywords that noone is searching? Or you're trying to repeat the product name in the title and backlink to it a ton? (I don't quite understand youtube seo).

By the way this thread is superb imo. Sounds like really good advice.

Higher gravity generally means more competition, so it will be harder to rank your video on page 1. Not always the case, but generally true.

My keyword is always the product name or product name + review, since those 2 get the most searches.

YouTube SEO is pretty much like normal SEO. You can get away with building more links faster since YouTube is trusted by Google.

    Hey, Tony.

I was wondering if you're still available for support.

I'm a struggling Affiliate Marketer who could use guidance of someone as experienced and successful as yourself.

btw: I'm aware that this site, like many others, gets a lot of newbies asking for the hand to be held. - As for me, I'm just looking for a jumpstart for my AM business, until I'm able to drive off on my own.

P.s. I cannot PM, but I do have Skype and would welcome chatting with you there. Thanks!!!

    Hi Tony

Thanks for sharing. I have been doing something simular. Have you also tried driving this traffic to a squeeze page so you can sell to them and add them to your list at the same time?

    cheers

      Nice one.

For some reason I have always stayed away from YouTube only marketing. (I have no good reason why - lol) but this is a nice simple strategy to play with.

Yeah that works well too and is a much better long-term strategy. The steps I outlined here is just a low-investment way for newbies to get started with affiliate marketing. After you start making some money, you should definitely drill deeper into a particular niche and start building a list.

Mike Koeings has something called the 10x10x4 formula that works amazing for video.

I'm off to the gym for now, so I'll write a post about that tonight if anyone's interested.

Thanks for sharing this. Love the power of YouTube - every other kind of online marketing and backlinking doesn't matter anymore.

I know for sure myself how poweful a video can be. I can get a video to the top of google for local search in hours, sometimes in minutes.

What you are saying here is exactly right - I love your style

Thanks for sharing - wish you the best success

Thanks for the share. Man I wish my ClickBank account looked like that lol.

I do have a question, how long after you uploaded those videos did you start getting commissions?
    • Profile picture of the author Anthony W
A lot of people have been PMing me about getting a review copy. You can find the product creator's contact info on the bottom of the sales letter. Sometimes, you have to open up a support ticket.

The other option is to just buy the product yourself. If it doesn't make any sales within 60 days you can always ask for a refund... or ask for one anyways if you're a dick hehe.
